Tauros evo :D Yet...it sounds like shit :(

In the case of a possible Tauros evo, wouldn't Miltank have to get an evolution as well? Seeing as it's the opposite of Tauros and all.

Also, green cobra? Hmm, maybe it would represent...nature, in contrast with the industrial theme? Dragon/Grass? I'm not sure about the cobra thing, really.

It's just a wait-and-see on this again, I guess.

157 would be the most amount of new Pokemon in one game, right?
Yes, it seems so:
Gen 2: +100
Gen 3: +135
Gen 4: +107
That last one was supposed to be 107, I messed up there (493-386).

...Please no

I think GF could make it work, but... no. In fact the only new rumor I care for is the one regarding player choices "influencing" the plot.

Hopefully it's true and Tauros get's the evo he's deserved for a very long time.

I still want to see Kangaskhan, Pinsir, Lapras and Sandslash get an extra evo as well. A boy can dream, right?

I lost my Platinum game (with all of my Gen 3 pokemon transfers) but I don't remember Sinnoh having a desert...

I do remember an annoying route that forced a sandstorm at the start of every battle, but it was just one route. In fact, it wasn't even mainland Sinnoh iirc.

If so then it's not a desert, but a route with some sand on it.:lol

Wow, the new designs look absolutely terrible. So uninspired and boring. The only one I care for (of the ones shown recently) is the fire ape thing.

It lost me with the morality system

I don't expect progressive Japanese RPG developers to do that, Gamefreak far less so.
The reason it really makes no sense to me is that, from the rumor anyway, it doesn't even sound like the current popular (and overused) moral choice system. It talks about rewards for being good and disadvantages of being bad...why even go through the effort of creating such an option when one of the sides doesn't offer any benefits? It makes no sense from a gameplay perspective, and it's taken them this long to change the main storyline at all, let alone start shooting for something that sounds more ambitious. I'm not trusting anything quite yet except for the scans themselves.

One thing that makes me think that those rumors are fake is you have "like how Giratina compliments Dialga and Palkia, a large, green cobra will accompany Reshiram and Zekrom".

Wait, what? You have Zekrom and Reshiram who are bipedal dragonlike creatures that are grey scale colors (black and white), and then you have a green snake? Yeah right.
I also doubt the choice-making aspect, it doesn't seem very Pokemonish at all. I guess we'll find out more in the following months.

Black and white, good versus evil, and yin and yang are going to play a major part in the plot. However, unlike previous Pokemon games, the decisions and choices you make will “influence” the plot of the game. If you make “good” choices, you might get certain help or items, whereas “bad” choices could have negative effects. The point is that the plot will not be as cut-and-dry as previous games, changing depending on the player’s actions.

My God.

If this were true... imagine all the sales coming from people wanting to try all the different branches.

calling bullshit due to the "good / bad choices" thing

and i swear there better be a farfetch'd evo and it better be bad ass
DUX

Things that scream fake to me:

- "Minotauros" :lol I can maybe buy Tauros getting an evolution, but come on. Also, isn't that the English name anyways?

- The number of new Pokemon bringing it to 650 even, that's definitely highly unlikely

- Good/bad choices as mentioned, blech

- A green cobra is going to form the triumvirate? Really? Sounds like made up BS

The rest is so vague anybody could have come up with it.

"Tsutaaja, Pokabu, and Mijumaru had rough designs over this past year or so, but in the last few months received major overhauls, becoming the final designs we see today." Oh really? I never would have guessed!

Yeah, calling bullshit on the whole morality system, especially in a Pokemon game. Even if it does fit the theme and the species for Zekrom and Reshiman.

Kind of funny seeing you guys calling "bullshit" on the rumors, while not having any evidence.

Just wait until we get more info guys. :lol

This isn't how the burden of proof works.

Though I don't think any of those rumors are impossible.

Still, that's quite a lot for Gen 3. I just assumed that each version had 100+event Pokés.

For some reason that annoyed me about Gen 3. I was expecting the Pokedex to end at 351... they added too many "doubles" Pokemon for their own good.

I call BS on most every rumor Nintendo-related that doesn't have hard facts to back it up, and I'm usually right. A recent example would be Zelda Informer "leaking" the Zelda Wii subtitle, "Prophet of Light," which just turned out to be a "prediction."

If Pokebeach trusts this guy so much and want us to be convinced they should have posted whatever "developer material" he sent them.

In honor of this news I started playing Platinum for the first time. ^_^
Can't remember why, exactly, but you were bitch hard to take down in this game, Andrex. Probably because of my weak-ass Noctowl.

Empoleon, Houndoom, Tangrowth, Garchomp, Noctowl... erm... and the rest R.I.P. :(
my game HAS to be around here SOMEWHERE

How are we even sure that it's a crocodile and not an alligator?
Serebii's Classification: Desert crocodile pokemon

Also, not that pokemon follow the rules of nature, but it has a long narrow mouth, with the teeth very visible, which is a way to tell crocs from gators.

It doesn't appear to be physically based on anywhere. Really, the layout seems to resemble Manhattan more than anything.

It looks alot more like Hiroshima to me with all the sea ports and huge buildings. It would make sense since Chugoku hasn't been used as a region yet.

Pokemon B/W is going to be an allegory for WWII

At the end of the game you choose to either help Team Plasma drop Zekrom/Reshiram on Hiun City or defend the city as long as possible

Oh man, I already miss auto-run. :(
I recently went back to Platinum after a long period of playing HeartGold. What I miss the most are the touch menus. I keep going to my PC box to switch Pokemon around and I pull out my stylus and then I'm like "oh wait why is everything on the top screen?"
