If that's the design (or something close to it) then i will be well pleased. As some posters have said, every design has less than stellar designs and gen 5 will be no exception. I just don't want 25, 260 legendaries this time around.

Plusle and Minun, IMO, were the mascots for the 3rd gen IF there were any. I think that thats a odd ball gen and it being the lowest selling gen of the series supports my thoughts. I don't think there was ever a REAL mascot Pokemon that Gen but Plusle and Minun show off the 2-on-2 battles that that gen had.
4th gen was clearly Lucario and I think that GF/ Nintendo took note of that. He was/ is a great mascot regardless of liking or disliking him. Having the "cool" Pokemon thats strong-but-not-too-strong (as in, legendary) start off a gen with it's movie really did wonders for the hype machine and broke the downward decline in sells for the main-line titles. I don't really think that he "stand" for anything new to the games with DP other then maybe the special/ physical difference. :/
Thats why I think that this guy is gonna be the mascot for the 5th gen. It already looks "cool" and will be starring in the next movie.
