Pokemon sequel is under development for DS

Holy crap I just realized that the city in B/W allows for infinite bike-pedaling in one direction.
THE DAYS OF PACING BACK AND FORTH IN SOLACEON ARE OVER!!

how so... the city may not do a full rotation my bet is there is a barrier to stop you reaching the other side

It's in between different episodes of Pokemon. It's not like that for 30 straight minutes.

Ok, this makes sense then. So it's like the Disney ads on the Disney channel?

I thought this was an actual 30 minute show

I was just thinking this might mean we get a new Wii game, most likely BW won't be compatible with PBR.

The graphics/engine wasn't PBR's weak point so hopefully they build on that and just add everything else that should have been in the first game.

Part of me really wants to play through PBR, but I don't own a Wii. Gah.

I DON'T UNDERSTAND WHATS SO FUNNNYYYY

PBR is like a prototype of the Battle Frontier in 3D. Really, that's all there is to it. You can buy some cool items with your points, and get a free Magmortar and Electivire, and if you beat it a surfing Pikachu, although its nature is fixed at a neutral one so some people say it's not that great.

Still, I should go back to it... I never beat it because of this damn Plusle/Minun double battle where'd they Helping Hand my team to death. x_x

I'm interested in PokePark Wii.

I think if Nintendo took that concept and reaaaaaally worked on its polish, it could end up being a fun spin-off series.

Alas, Nintendo doesn't care because it's marketed to people who sniff glue and stick crayons up their noses.

Yes, unfortunately. Heck a game like that WiiWare beat-em-up could be good if it had real graphics and more diverse gameplay. The concept of playing as a Pokemon (especially any Pokemon) has real potential.

Online play made it worth it for me. My days of trolling random wi-fi noobs with a Wobbuffet as "Advanced Trainer Gary Oak" were amusing enough.

Though if they would actually bother to implement matchmaking in the main portable titles, then I'd just use that instead.

Oh I didn't say it was necessarily a con. If you have a good team, it may be worth it to you for the graphics, items, and true random Wi-Fi battles.

The reason they probably don't put it in the handheld games is because PBR does it. Game Freak is so weird sometimes. Like, they put such an emphasis on co-op for everything (minigames, Wi-Fi plaza, all the Battle Frontier facilities...), but then they leave such random "simple" things out. Like in D/P, there was no auto-level option for local, heck there still isn't, but at least with Platinum they added the option to down-level to 50. Stuff like that just picks at me. :lol

Now that I actually have a decent team I think I'll give it another try.

There's a gate-house thing on the right, clearly. Pay attention at the start of the clip, the door is all whited out.

Another round of BW (hilarious if they won't really look like this after all the fanart)

I think the guy looks like his cap is definitely on backwards.

The girl looks too similar to Dawn and Leaf imo although that's not a bad thign I guess, but I like the guy's look/outfit better than Lucas.

Male player character/rival in DPPt.

You leave Barry alone!! >:/ Keep him out of your sick fantasies.

There is a reason he was hyper ;) And they do shorten Diamond's name in the manga to Dia. Dont know if that is better though.

Looks like there's a map on one of the signs that gives the city a half circle layout.

Wait, so reusing 10-year old N64 models isn't a graphical weak point?

By the way if you want infinite steps in one direction, you could just hold the D-pad towards a >> tile that doesn't go into another >> tile, back in that maze factory in DPPt. If only it had a nearby fly location though...

PBR actually looked really good. A little plasticky but still pretty good. It was mid-GC levels at least.

Incidentally, how many millions of dollars would Nintendo make if they paired up with an apparel company and actually produced hats/jackets/pants with that stylized semicircle pokeball logo on them? Hell, I'd consider one.

I wonder if the "routes" will appear in full wrap-around 3-D like that city picture. That would make the world a bit confusing to navigate, wouldn't it? I get the sense that stuff like that 3-D city won't actually be used outside of a few specific places.

new here, b kind with me lol... there aren't any news about the game?
All the news we know is in this thread already. They're still being pretty vague about information, so other than the screenshots that have been floated around, we don't have much of anything to go on regarding changes to the game mechanics. As far as I know, we don't even have an idea of when to expect more info. Good luck if you find anything, though.
