Pokemon sequel is under development for DS

I know they're real but all but the mouse look fake.(I'll get used to them of course.)
Also Isshu looks closest to NYC but with greenness, deserts and mountains. The middle island being Manhattan with Central Park in the center and the Brooklyn Bridge in the lower right. Of course, it could easily be somewhere in Japan or a mixture of the two.

I don't really sort my pictures, but I do have a Black & White folder split into Fanart, Sprites, Sugimori art, and Other.

I like them all:D :D except for the pigeon, we had the basic flying beginning pokemon with similar coloring and pattern in gen3 and 4, so this one looks uninspired.

and Reshiram is Fire/Dragon, omgg.

Everyone knows that the pigeon will be useful down the road and will have a kickass evolution :)

Glorious. I love this fan art. :)

All the Pokemon look great. The fire ape reminds me of the purple fellow from Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends. The psychic pig reminds of the wind-blowing enemies from Pikmin.

A good colorful mix of creatures, both the exotic and the mundane. All well-designed; the BW Pokemon are shaping up nicely. :)

really like the zebra. the gorilla is pretty cool too. Hopefully there are a few more new fire types this gen. I think only 5 out of 113 gen IV Pokémon were fire type. :(

Sinnoh didn't have many fire types because it's a cold region. This new region looks like it has a big desert, so I imagine there will be plenty of fire and ground.

well i think its a great start for fire type lovers the legendary is a strong fire combination and the gorilla looks like a 3 stage pokemon.

Sinnoh had a desert. A volcano too. ¬.¬

serious reply; her name translates to Professor Yew.

Oh my god NO.
Anyone who has played
AA:I
will understand. D=<

EDIT: There's no way to express my anger without using the spoiler tag in an awkward fashion. :lol

New pokedex looks like a phone. :lol Region looks insane, seems like there will be quite a bit of variety just by looking at the map.

Mun'ma is a reference to Gen 1!

After you defeat a Lass outside of Rock Tunnel in Red, Green, Blue (and their remakes), she tells you, "The POKEMON here are so chunky! There should be a pink one with a floral pattern!"

I don't know. it could be given the nose, but the color and floral patern makes me think otherwise.

It's not just the pig stuff that links them together :)

The pig like Pokémon is called Munna(ムンナ). It is the Dream Eater Pokémon and is Psychic-type. It is 0.6m tall and 23.3kg. It has the abilities Forewarn & Synchronise. It has an attack called Telekinesis (テレキネシス) which makes the opponent float in the air.

So it's pig-ish like Drowzee, including the curved snout. That's the obvious part, but then...
It's called the Dream Eater, which is exactly what Drowzee and Hypno do in their descriptions.
It's psychic type and has the Forewarn ability, which are common traits between all three of them.

I wish Hypno would have gotten a third stage to help make it not shit, but seems like Nintendo will not have it so.

Vhalyar, I dunno why you're so certain that Mun'na is a Drowzee pre-evo. =/ As ILikeFeet points out, the color and floral pattern are so drastically different from Drowzee and Hypno, that it seems almost impossible for them to be related. All pre-evos introduced ex post facto, so to speak, have all borne at least some resemblance to their respective evolutions... I don't even think that the nose(?) is enough of a connection.

Quasi-Edit: And I get the whole Dream Eater thing as well, but technically Drowzee and Hypno are known as the "Hypnosis Pokémon," so that doesn't serve as a direct link in my eyes.

It did? Damn I really should pop in Platinum now that I have it...
I lost my Platinum game (with all of my Gen 3 pokemon transfers) but I don't remember Sinnoh having a desert...

Really like the Zebra. 'Bout time someone decided to kick sand in the face of Ponyta. Hopefully the Zebra's movepool isn't as crap and it's evo is badass.

Everyone else is pretty meh to me. The only bad one is that pink piggybank bullshit though. So all in all I am satisfied.

All I need now is confirmation that pokemon still follow you and I will then declare this gen as the best ever.

Also, Zekrom is still a fucking pimp.

Now I'm going to be disappointed when the professor doesn't carry over this personality.

Not sure exactly why, but I'm really digging the lightning zebra. If that gets an evolved form, it would definitely be a part of my first main party, assuming I got the game. At the same time, I'm still disappointed that it looks like we still get the early-game mousey normal and standard normal/bird pokes to run into. Now they just need to reveal a three-stage bug type and an electric rodent and we'll be good to go for starting off the same damn progression as every other game in the series. :\

Outside of the bird Pokémon, I like all the ones released so far. The bird isn't TOO bad, it just looks too much like Pidgey. Hope it has an awesome evolution like Staraptor.

Oh my gosh, that would be AWESOME. Professor as key member of the token evil organization? Twist! :O

Although it might seem a little sexist if the first female professor also turned out to be the first evil professor as well.

no that wouldn't be sexist. she does look a little crazy in her art

I like some of the designs (mainly because the Zebra is a Shinx ripoff), but it looks like the Pidgey of this gen is very uninteresting.
