You really don't understand America at all.

Okay, okay, by people that they think are dumb. Obviously they get enthused by dumb people they don't realise are dumb all the time.

It's manufactured outrage about a tweet from people who are more upset that their beloved communism is being associated with dirty capitalism than they are that Brazille is being technically incorrect.

USSR, Russia, Communism, Dictatorship. Two sides of the same shitty coin. The influence of the former did not end with the latter's creation.

Also don't think Russia is what really swung the election away from here.

Fucking bullshit. https://youtu.be/n8Dd5aVXLCc?t=600 Check the end of this video. Then go back and watch the whole 11 mins. You match that with the stolen voter data + Trump campaign. They knew how to hammer bernie bros, women, african americans to stay home. Shit is effective as fuck and the bots/human trolls are still doin work on twitter, facebook, youtube today.

I feel like that tweet wasn't a jab at Russia, it was a jab at the rising American left that associates with Socialism and wants to, at the very least, regulate American capitalism. Russia is not "the communists" in that tweet, people like me are. In this case, the tweet has nothing to do with the USSR. It has to do with her agreeing more with the comments by the Russian embassy than by lefties like me.

Am I paranoid? I have 9-1 dialed on the phone just in case. If I panic I'll hit that last 1. WHAT SHOULD I DO.

Your "feelings" are wrong.

It was a response to a hostile Russian tweet promising retribution if we didn't return their spy bases in the US to them. It had nothing to do w/ economic regulations.

If you took it that way, it's on you.

Jesus, this is detached from reality. Like are you just trolling me here?

1) No one cares what Donna Brazille calls Russia because that's not what people vote on/what people pay attention to.

2) Girl what a dumb thing to say this isn't 1985 and they sure as shit aren't communists.

I don't think anyone cares about DB specifically, but this will be tweeted as 'You won't believe what top Democrat just said!' and form a part of the general narrative. It's like grains of sand - each one of them is insignificant and nobody pays any attention, get enough of them and life's a beach.

I mean, it's not like I think there's really any response that needs taking - it wouldn't even be worth the effort of a retraction - but it increased my exasperation levels by 0.0003%.

Lol ABC News poll has Dems +9 in the LV on the congressional ballot but the entire article is written how is this is Actually Bad News for Democrats.

Eh, I really don't see potentially Dem voters turned off from voting because an ex-party leader called Russia a communist nation. There are dumb people who are Democrats. That's what you get for only having two major parties. Oh well. Good thing she's not an actual top Democrat anymore.

I'd say Bad News for Kay Hagan but it really ended up as bad news all along :(

They really need to have a unified message heading into 2018 that is not just limited to anti-Trump rhetoric.

Agreed, DB's judgement is... lets saw, awful.

Also it goes to show what can happen when this Russia narrative just goes off the rails. Dems have to be very careful & measured if/when they incorporate Russia into their platform / 2018 message (hint: it should be a v small part of it).

As a Democrat, I wouldn't even mention Russia in 2018. I'd focus on the domestic issues entirely. It's an issue for office, not the podium.

So this is going to be a rant but as a Catholic this one Catholic Media called Church Millitant TV pisses me off.
The Church isn't suppose to have a political side and yet Church Militant is all fuck the socialist or liberals....
Michael whatever his name just says random shit about Hillary being the spawn of Satan and Trump being chosen by God to bring America close to his Catholic values.
They honestly oppose any argument that people leaning moderate of left have for social issues.
They think people of different sexual orientation have committed sins as bad as murder.

Just pisses me off when I hear people at my Church talk so fondly of it.
They don't give a fuck for others but themselves and their agenda.

House Republicans to fall back on more modest spending plan

I still think she was going to win before the Comey letter. Russia influenced for sure, I'm not disagreeing. I suppose I was too specific, the combination of everything did it. Russia certainly primed he electorate to be more reactive to negative Clinton news.

I'd still say it was mainly to have the country massively anti-Clinton and anti-Democratic party for the next 4 years. In the long run, having Trump elected could end up worse for Russia.

All news networks tonight talking about Russia and healthcare, except one

Lightning, I mean Hillary, must not be forgotten.

I'm all in favor of referring to Russia as the former USSR or former Soviet Union. And Putin as an ex-KGB agent. Just to drive home the point of who the GOP is cozy with now and that it isn't American interests first.

It's about as good an idea as "Democrats start cursing a lot".

Democrats' negative messaging always sounds transparent and awkward. Maybe it's kind of a roundabout compliment that they are bad at it. They are much better at positive messaging when they can focus on it. (See: Obama, Barack and Clinton, Bill)

Nobody is saying use it as issue #1. Obviously other things should be focused on. Like things that can motivate people to vote. But when Russia comes up? And Putin? Yeah why not drive home their history in a subtle way? And demonstrate the GOP has gone from "tear down this wall" to "please do what you can to destroy the US election process."

Donna's wording was bad as obviously Russia isn't communist - just standard dictator-like oppressive. So she just should have added former in there to be 100% factual. And no, in general, I'm not a fan of hers for her boneheaded primary activities.

I think referring to Putin as ex-KGB is apt since that's both literally true and an easy shorthand for linking Russian influence ops to 2016.

The Memo: GOP forms circular firing squad;

“The contrast between President Obama’s yearlong push [for the ACA] and President Trump’s approach to repeal-and-replace is stark,” said Alex Conant, a GOP strategist who in the past worked with the president’s 2016 primary rival, Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.).

“He never gave a single speech about healthcare reform, let alone prime-time press conferences or traveling the country holding big rallies,” Conant said. “Healthcare reform failed because of opposition from conservatives, and yet the leader of the conservative movement — the president — did very little to rally his base

“You have a political party that has too many disparate factions that just don’t agree on how to govern,” said Steve Deace, an Iowa-based conservative broadcaster. “They’re really good at being an opposition party. But when they win, those same groups that are unified in opposition can’t come together

As I keep saying: The curren batch of GOP leaders were not elected to lead, they were elected to obstruct Obama. They have no idea how to govern because all they know how to do effectively is say "no" and then whine on Fox News.

Yup. These next 2-4 years are likely to be the least productive in American history. Hope you're happy conservatives.

The ideological split in the GOP right now is incredible. Freedom Caucus takeover fucked them hard. In hindsight, they probably should not have embraced that movement.

GOP will do anything for a vote. No matter how inhuman. This is the same party that openly courted southern racists to gain power in the south.

Yeah Hilary was damaged enough already Russia just helped eek out the win.
Since Republicans don't have a problem with this spear fishing micro target bullshit Democrats should amplify the same tactics x1000 with real messages about health care and issues people care about.

Just fucking flood EVERYTHING with mixtures of real people and bots but without all the broken English, racism, and fake stories. If this shit turns out to be fair game Democrats will have to play or be buried by fake news that labels them fake news.

This sucks and doesn't end well. What the fuck.

Hell hire Cambridge Analytica while they're at it. It's apparently fair game.
