funny thing is, there are a ton of other circumstances where I would have voted for mccain. I don't believe a quick pullout from Iraq is feasible and don't think Obama will succeed or even try it. I also see a lot of government programs on the horizon that, while I don't find them really truly socialistic, I also think there are a lot of lower middle class and upper lower class families who make too much money to miss out on the programs but not enough money to cover the shit themselves. In those cases it does make more sense to cut those programs, give back those tax dollar points, and let the people get the help on their own.
with that being said, I just haven't seen enough from mccain that he has any intentions of regulating the bullshit that got us into this economic crisis in the first place. government programs are largely a scam.. government regulation is much needed after bush's 8 years of TOTAL deregulation.
had hilary won the dem nom, I would have agreed with mccain's platform far more than hers.
