FUCK HER

She should have the sense to concede herself. This isn't about her, stop the ass kissing guys. This 'Democratic Party' thing is bullshit. The big wigs don't care about the people, rather how to protect their asses from the ones higher in the hierarchy.

Yes, she should have. This has been the campaign of regrets for her, and it keeps getting worse. It's party because she's a career politician, and partly because she hasn't had the good sense to stop listening to a campaign team that keeps setting her up for a fall.

How Hillary Lost

When Hillary hasn't sufficiently fucked things up herself, her advisers or her husband have stepped in to provide the fail. And she's out of high notes to go out on.

I want to chime in here a bit. Even though I dont post much in these threads if at all. I was able to catch all 3 speeches last night(too much free time at work).

First John McCain

I got to say his speech was horrible. Obama already has him defending himself with the Bush references. He tried hard to make a claim and define himself but he has flip-flopped so many times I really dont know what he stands for. His jabs at Obama were extremely weak. His fake grin along with the crowd not knowing when to boo or applause made it cringe worthy.

Hillary Clinton

On this historic night she decides to have her selfish speech. Sure she briefly thanked Obama but no congrats on winning the nom. It didnt at all sound like a concession speech and yes I know that it wasnt suppose to be but dont egg on your rabid followers. I really hated the part where she said "what does hillary want". If that isnt narcissist the I dont know what is. No VP for you(hopefully).

Barack Obama

Epic speech like usual. Classy as usual. Gave thanks to both JM and HRC even though they barely give him compliments if any. Kept the same message of change and unity. I loved the part when he talked about how McCain mentioned that he hasnt visited Iraq then turned it around on how McCain should be concerned about visting cities here in the US and the ongoing issues. Totally hit that out of the park.

I dont see how McCain stands a chance. I have a feeling when Obama and McCain have a debate he is going to tear him a new one....and another one.

I realize that. I was just less worried about the rumor when it was really vague.

Good lies are always relatively specific but not verifiable. It's the amount of detail (rather than the quality) that convinces people. I'm thinking that whoever's behind this one is an expert at lying.

I doubt Bill came up with it.

So, when will Obama announce Clark as his running mate?

Because that will be awesome.

Any other choice is a mistake.

Just about everyone slammed the McCain speech except Harold Ford. What's wrong with him? It's like he has two dueling political personalities in one body.

I think he slammed him worse than everybody else did. He called that "McCain's Best Speech Yet." That's pretty fuckin' harsh.

"That incredibly graceful way he moves"....:lol

If Fox News has bigots and racist like Hannity, then Obama deserves some support in the media as well.

Keep watching.

He was saying some interesting things.

I dislike the stuff about Obama loving the country but not really loving it stuff though...I'm so sick of the dumbest people having some sort of monopoly on patriotism....or maybe thats the point??? Maybe some are just too intelligent to really ever love something as arbitrary as birth place that much?

Wait, Bob Beckel was talking about the Michelle tape showing up today? That's actually.... a little scary.

Now to be fair it's been supposed to come out "today" since Monday I believe.

Maybe, but Beckel is the first "Real" person to bring it up. People were careful not to bring up Larry Sinclair on air but this is getting play. It definitely lends credibility.

I'd much rather have Obama/Hillary than Obama/Edwards. It placates the crazies and avoids that douche Edwards.

I don't want either of them, but if you must, I think Hillary has more to offer. If we're taking the white guy so that we can appeal to southern racists or just racists in general, then fuck that. It's a demographic we've already lost.

Hillary is somewhat contradictory to Barack's change message, but Edwards would find a way to flub it up somehow. There just seems like so much dirt on him is out there, whether it be his haircuts (which, I have to say, was overblown by the media but does indicate serious cognitive dissonance with his "two americas" message), his fake dead son story that he tells to everybody only once (secret to everybody), or the mills or whatever, I just don't like him.

And apparently the American people don't really either...they've rejected him like three times now. I think his numbers are strictly based on soft support and recognition.

What the fuck is this shit

http://www.politico.com/blogs/bensmith/0608/Obamas_offer.html

This line in his speech last night seemed a fairly serious offer to Clinton:

"And you can rest assured that when we finally win the battle for universal health care in this country, she will be central to that victory."

That's also an offer that seems plausible in a way the vice presidency, for a dozen reasons, doesn't.
Please, tell me this is Ben's cognitive dissonance at work.

The whitey statement BS is just a dumb rumor....the whole thing sounds too fucking stereotypically perfect for republicans to be true. Her standing on a stage next to Farakhan saying "Whitey"??? Give me a break.

I did read some excerpts from her college thesis paper though, and have no reason to believe it's fake. She's definitely not some shuckin and jivin type, she is a strong woman and it's a shame that people are trying to use her to ruin Obama.

BTW, I LOVED this.

Do you have a link to that paper?

I don't care about american politics, but holy shit at obama's speeches.

He almost makes it cool to like him. Sort of the charisma of an effortless superstar who'd have people throw themselves in front of them.

False. Roger Stone brought it up on the air. It was also rumored to get play on Neil Cavuto's show, and didn't.

Also, if you want a good read on the saga of this video: http://phillybits.blogspot.com/

There is a picture going around that has Michelle Obama with the Farrakahns. However, you can link a ton of politicians to this event, including Bill Clinton. And it STILL doesn't validate the existence of the video.

Relax. It's from an unreliable source and has been shot down by most credible blogs, like DailyKos.

I don't consider Roger Stone "Real". Beckel has nothing to gain from perpetuating a false rumor like this.

Nor is he in trouble if it's false. You're talking about a Fox News Analyst. It's not like they check sources over there.

Edit: Jesus, Typhon, did you even hear what he said? He even said it was a rumor, and "if true". He's not going to present it or anything, he just says "he's read enough blogs (lol) that it's starting to worry him."

There's enough blogs perpetuating this shit because right now, any blog that is remotely pro-Hillary/anti-Obama is hoping that this will somehow 86 his campaign. I doubt he knows which ones have what slant.

That conference got a ton of media coverage, in the middle of Obama's Senatorial campaign

Its the conference where Bill Cosby went on his tirade about black parenting

Also, it wasn't held at Trinity

Ben Smith = Clinton Shill supreme.

How about Hillary Clinton = United States Secretary of Health and Human Services. This makes far more sense.

But this is what he's infering. He's specifically saying that the VP spot doesn't make sense for her as opposed to having a role on health care / health insurance.

I don't want hillary as VP but I'd be fine, no I'd LOVE it if she was a leader for health care. It is her pet issue and she knows a lot about it. We should all be perfectly supportive of her leading a commission or what have you on the issue for the Obama administration.
