#icant at Rih having them fuming. I thought we already clocked the tea on singles from Bey and how she puts out more per album than Rih does? Bey isn't a singles artist because no one buys them, it's not due to a lack of trying. It isn't Rihanna's fault that she can clock platinum albums and sell tons of singles. She is just successful and impactful.

I guess these last few weeks have been hard on them. Things that should've had impacT just didnt have any. Meanwhile the Rihanna happenings of the last week had more impact on the public.

Pitbull isn't impactful to the public when his single shoots up to number one. He is simply a name affiliated with a song that's playing on the radio during a morning/afternoon commute. People buy his singles because they're catchy, the alternatives are scattered, uninteresting or non-present, and because there isn't a big name out there currently that's truly taking the reigns. And a few short weeks after its release, the single descends into the pits of iTunes hell, as if people never gave a shit about it in the first place. Because his songs purely live and die in the context of the contemporary; after the song's out of our ears the artist is squarely back to zero, losing any grab and pull that a single's success may seem to insinuate.

I fail to see how Rihanna's a different case, and I've seen no proof from #Hindenburg to show me otherwise.

Your description of PitBull could describe any number of artists, including Bey. Songs rise up iTunes and then stay a bit, and then fall down. But you're wrong about Rih. "Diamonds" is still in the top 50, 21 weeks after launch. Unless 21 weeks is "a few weeks"

It was absolutely hilarious to read. Especially since Bey has not had a song in the itunes TOP SPOT since 2008 kii kii kii.

I mean if Bey was so #IMPACTFUL, why couldn't she chart any single from 4? Why couldnt she chart anything after Halo? Where is this wonderful impact and iconography ya'll keep talking about?

The proof is in the #'s.

I fail to see how Beyonce is a different case, and I've seen no CERTIFIED proof to show me otherwise.

I'm not fuming, I'm just trying to equalize the "quantity over quality" stanning methods from you and ITZ, which I suppose you learned from your fave. It just seems that #Hindenberg, much like Britney's stans, can't seem to argue back without pulling up an iTunes chart. Nobody here denies that Rihanna's killing it on iTunes; in fact, I'm using that as supporting evidence for why your overstated stanning is ridiculous. If you were to ask the general public who has had more impact between Beyonce and Rihanna, they're a couple dozen times more likely to say the former, because nobody will argue for the latter by pulling up iTunes charts. Most Americans pretty much react with either shock or disgust when statistics are presented for iTunes track records. People's reactions to seeing Black Eyed Peas at the top of the iTunes trends was pretty much a cavalcade of self-deprication. The amount of IMPACT you guys seem to think is there is actually anything but, and why? Because mainstream doesn't keep tabs on iTunes performance.

I still <3 you both though.

Eh even if PIU could get significant pop support (I am not yet convinced) it is not going to be able to slay the format while Stay is on pop. One with almost certainly strangle out the other. It would be virtually unprecedented for both to have significant airplay on pop at the same time.
