My favorite Mariah song since We Belong To Together.
Mariah's strength as a songwriter has always been in writing lyrics that walk the thin line between amateurish and "completely relatable to the average pop listener." She nails that here. At first, I thought the lines might be a bit too basic, but halfway through I found myself connecting to her experience.
And her vocals are on point through. Mimi reminding us who the queen of melisma is. And that FINALE.
