From Software self published Dark Souls 1 and 2 in Japan. I thought they only partnered with them for international publishing. Just because they own the trademark doesn't necessarily mean they own the IP. Also, your link doesn't work.

The actual movie event runs from 9 to 11 EST, so 2 hours. There's supposed to be a 30 minute exclusive presentation for folks at the theater but I'd bet this is just a filler buffer in case the show starts late + has overrun.
But man it'd be hilarious if stuff like TLG and Project Beast was announced only to folks in the theaters

This definitely has to be fake. There is no way Sony would think that this would be a showstopper or megaton. Not only that, BeS has been in development for quite some time. Heck, DemonNite was dropping hints in 2012/2013 about it. Sony was dropping hints since like 2010! There is NO WAY that this is real.
