I am expecting a new syphon filter to be there tbh.

Verendus gave some hints last year about some of the projects and one of those was a stealth game. Bend is also working on a ps4 game and "Kill strain" was trademarked by sony not long ago, which sounds very similar to Omega strain, the last syphon filter's title.

It could all be a coincidence, but i hope its not the case. Love me some syphon filter.

He works at sony and loves to tease us with little hints about upcoming games. He teased Project beast 3 or 4 times before the leak as well.

:P... Has to mean something considering it's free and all and quite a reach in NA. It will be very bad if they're weren't going to be real megatons because it will have the opposite effect and dampen PS4's momentum ;)

If it's truly a Souls game, then yes, and it would be detrimental to the series. If this is a new IP with nods to a Souls game, it could work, but who knows how people would react.
 
Thanks for the answers. I did'nt know how important customization would be to people who like the Souls games, but I noticed some people worried about only playing that character. He looks pretty neat, but I understand wanting some variation or control.
 
I hope Crash Bandicoot is one of the magaton reveals. Naughty Dog could do marvelous things with that IP back in their hands. I sure as hell don't buy Activision's whole "oh yea, we still own Crash, we just deleted the Crash Bandicoot homepage, all traces of the series from our main site as well as cancelled games that were in development but we hope we can bring Crash back some day" statement.
 
Megatons don't have to be just the games. How's this - $299 ps4, Sony going for the Xbones throat. I only speculate this cos Sony as a corporation doesn't need a 60,70,80 million seller, it would really like a 100 million seller, a price cut while they have the momentum could catapult them way ahead.

Anyway, thats just me wildly speculating outta my arse. In truth, I reckon Demonite saw us chatting about the 5 beeps and thought "Fuck it I'll tell them there's an easter egg, that will keep them busy". Hah! Damn you Demonite!

It could easily just be '5 game announcements.'

In the end, this easter egg is nothing more than us trying to project what we think it is. It could easily be '5 big news, 5 new IP, 5 new games, 5 AAA announcements, 5 whatever.' Megaton is nothing more than us trying to visualise in our mind what a megaton is.

Besides, Sony announcing 5 new games is hardly something special.

Sony is already profiting on PS4, so an 80 million seller would mean 70+ million consoles generating revenue. 80 million is always better than 100 million at the numbers you've given, but especially so given their ability to profit on each unit sold versus likely taking a substantial loss.

Yeah, the five beeps are the only thing that I can spot in the video that could be linked to being an 'easter egg.'

Five reveals? Maybe.

I'm suspecting that "Bloodborne" is Project Beast. I wouldn't be suprised if we see a new trailer at E3 with the final title.

What if it is Bloodborne, a new ip that replaces "souls" with blood? I see blood on his clothes as he walks into the fog gate, and I don't think we've seen any souls yet? This switch may be the out that Sony uses to not be infringing on any Souls copyrights.

Im with u 100% only difference is I think it's a Spiritual Successor to Syphon Filter in a more serious, more modern tone.

Sony owns the Demon's Souls IP. Also, the fog gate had souls.

Well Sony owns the Demon Souls IP so I don't think they can infringe on their own property.

"Souls" I think has to be in there.
