I'm actually glad that they seem to be changing up the setting and weapons this time. Medieval fantasy is great, don't get me wrong, but we've already had three Souls games that take place in this period, so I'm ready for something new.

Yo nice catch! I thought it was a whip x blade. Now I do see its like a scythe that pops out to turn into a huge razor blade like the ones to shave lol. Wow thats pretty neat. (quick attack vs heavy attack - one handed you so dont have to put your shield/gun away and use both at the same time)

Wouldnt be surprised if gun related weapons had 2 types of fires. Say fire and Ice damage at a click of a button (swipe on DS4 touchpad?) for that shotty.

Hmm. Not a fan of the Souls series at all (and don't really understand all the love for it), but I'm stoked for everyone that digs it. Cool to see all the excitement in this thread.

I feel kind of bad for Sony that this leaked, but I'm also OK with it because there's a chance that they'll show something extra at E3 now (such as a trailer from the GG RPG).

That's how like basically every other publisher handled actual footage/screenshots being released.

tbh I like this approach. Just pretend the leaks don't exist and do your thing at the conference. Maybe make a sly joke about it and move on. Not that I mind just announcing it in advance but I don't think leaks should force anyone to change a plan.

out the show makes me assume that TLG won't be at the conference.

Not to be THAT guy, but you are judging leaked footage and discounting it because it looks like "a Souls game but blurrier" I fear you've completely missed the point.

This is a game exclusive to the most powerful console today--- BY the director of one of the most beloved franchises last gen. People have a right to be hyped and excited. Put two and two together.

And don't I have the right to have my own expectations? Why are you so defensive? I didn't say anything inflammatory, I'm saying I don't feel the insane hype and there being 15 seconds of footage reinforces how little is actually shown or known.

Whatever it is seems longer and more rounded.

Look at how the handle concaves in the first and last images.

In the first image it is folded in, the last image has the blade extended. Notice how the blade shape matches exactly to the handle concave?

Well, in this case, it'd more likely be closer to Bayonetta 2, where the game wouldn't even exist if it were not for Sony. Therefore, the incentive is that they're paying for the game to exist.

I mean, I wasn't making any judgment on that score either. Of course, it won't stop people from wanting things or saying things like that; I'm just saying the actual truth about who is funding this game and why it's not going to appear on non-Sony platforms. It may come on both PS3 and PS4, but it's not coming to platforms other than Sony ones.

I also think part of the problem is that unlike Project Beast, Titanfall actually WAS slated to come out on PS4 at one point. And it's still very likely the sequel might. So that made people even more willing to keep beating that drum.
