Oh my God, that was amazing. I love how Demon's Souls deliberately used very desaturated colors except for bright lights and fire, giving the entire game a sickly pallor.

I very much prefer the music of Demon's Souls. I believe a different composer worked on Dark Souls? I hope they get back the Demon's Souls guy to do the music for project beast for the reveal tomorrow at Sony's press conference!

I mean the tone in Dark Souls was a bit lighter and never felt as oppressive as Demon's. If theyre both Dark Fantasy then I want something nearer to what Demon's presented.

I think Gwyn's theme takes the cake in terms of Souls tunes. Astraea's is fantastic, to be sure; I just wish it didn't sound as if it were recorded with a midi keyboard.
Astraea's also relies a lot more on the context for its power/impact, whereas Gwyn's is straight-up beautiful in isolation.
'Tis a shame that DS2 doesn't really have a similar theme/moment.
