[Idle Will Kill]

Ok, I'm in an apartment with another kid, and he has the only PS2. It hasn't worked yet since we've moved in. Basically it just sucks at reading discs. Whenever it tries to read them, there's just a weird whirling/cranking noise coming from the PS2. Then after a bit it will stop and say "Cannot Read Disc" or whatever in white letters.

I've tried a Scott laser lens cleaner on it, but it didn't seem to help. Any ideas? Are we gonna have to get a new PS2?

Call Sony. If it's giving you Disc Read Errors, they'll repair for free, even if it's way beyond its warranty.
