PS2 Network Guru Question (?)

I'm trying to play a game online with my slim PS2, but I keep getting (-610) errors when it does the DNAS check. I am currently at a hotel using its high speed internet, and it does NOT require a U/N and P/W to utilize it. When I enter in the network settings in the PS2 front menu, it seems like all is well. I push the 'Test Connection' button and all is cool, but when I get in the game, I can't get past the DNAS screen.

Any generic pointers? Should I contact the hotel's internet provider? I've played online with my PS2 at hotels before, so this should be no different.

Any help appreciated.. I realllllyy wanna play online

N/M, figured it out. Apparently the hotel firewalled me, but I was able to get around it by calling the hotel's ISP. And just FYI, playing MLB2006 online SUCKS ASS! Looks like I'm better off keeping my PS2 offline.

I don't have MLB2006, so I can't comment on its online quality, but judging it by the quality of connection you'll get at a hotel (i.e. possibly very, very poor with a lot of latency) is not a good choice.

Of course, maybe you have other games to test, or you have a laptop and have done ping and thoroughput tests from your hotel room. Otherwise, I would reserve judgement.
