PS2 problems :( Help!

No, not DREs. Something got fucked with the sound. I had been at my dad's for the past week so I set up my PC in a bedroom, and hooked the PS2 up to the capture card. This was fine for a few days, blah blah. Now all of a sudden, the PS2's sound output is ultra, ultra low, barely able to hear it. I've tried other TVs, different cables, even my wireless headphones, same deal, ultra low sound.

Anyone ever encounter this??

Since it's a capture card, unless the audio is going straight to a receiver, it sounds like the line in level got adjusted. Go to the sound properties and check the sliders...

Line-In is already at maximum. It's the PS2. I tried it with a TV using RF (all that's available here) and it did the same thing - barely audible sound.

Thanks for the replies though.

Ok guys, I think I'm starting to have a PS2 problem as well.

Whenever I start it up, it takes a good 20 - 30 seconds for the PS2 logo to finally make it on the screen. It never did that before (even when I installed the N/A and HD). But now it does it every time.

Is it on the verge of death?

Clean the lense...
Go into the browser options and turn on Diagnosis Mode...

Would these discs happen to be blue at the bottom?
