Anyone know what arcade games give what free items?

I know Ice Breakers and Echochrome give free stuff...

Does the Carriage game give you anything as a prize? What about Mercenary Madness?

It was you guys? :( I didn't deal with this before but now I see how it's annoying. Luckily I have my friends with me. When it gets annoying, they come to the rescue :D

Home was fun! I like it and had lots of funny chats. Everyone was doing the running man at one time :lol

It was supposed be a joke. :lol Swoory.
I'm guessing you have never played MMO before. Being a girl, usually the more you react to what other people say or do to you, the more they are going to follow you around. If you just ignore them and stick to your own conversation or play with your buddies you will be fine.
Home is just a glorified lobby. It can be fun with the right people.

Door codes in Sully's Bar:

Artifact Room (upstairs right door) :

Film Room (upstairs left door) :

Smuggler’s Den (door near bar) :
Key code: 1 0 2 4
Wooden wheel code: 1 5 7 7 3 8 3

My favorite thing about home is looking like a pedophile and standing in between people having a conversation.

If there's a way to make a creepier Home character I'd love to see it, my guy looks like a monster sized fat crackhead real life Mario.. with a mullet, pale skin, dark eyes and monster ears. No wonder most people avoided him. :lol

I've said it for a while now, I'll say it again - Home™ needs to be like walking into the Cantina in the original Star Wars movies.

There's absolutely no reason for this dull uniformity in a virtual world.

Sackpeople should be running around at knee height to the stupid human avatars, Helghast should be marching through the Central Plaza, Eucadians and Chernovans mingling with the crowd.

So on and so forth.

Let players pick a model they enjoy. Not only will it make Home more visually interesting, but it will help players find other players with similar interests more easily!

Like Warhawk?

Go chat with that group of Chernovans over there, and set up a game.

Yes, this

lol

I had an interesting experience. I made a girl for a change (normally I always make guys in games), because if I have to stare at an ass all the time it might as well be a nice one. Anyway as soon as I entered the Home Square I got asked where I was from, if we could be friends, etc, etc by a dozen creepy guys. I ran away and sat down to play some checkers, but it didn't take long for another douche to sit down in front of me and start hitting on me. It made me feel pretty sorry for real female gamers out there.

All in all though, I have to say Home is pretty fucking terrible. I couldn't believe how barebones the clothes and apartment customization was, until I realized they want you to pay for all that stuff.

The one good thing about it is that I never have to use it again, whereas with Xbox Avatars they'll always be in your dashboard.

Thanks arch. Do you know if there's anything for Mercenary Madness? (In Uncharted's "Sully's Bar")
I haven't heard of any unlockable items from the home spaces yet. If they had any someone probably would have found it by now.

Yeah, they really need to add a lot more options.

I've been trying to be positive, both on these forums and to my friends, but I'm hopping on the "it's worthless" bandwagon, because that's what it is. I'm not all that upset, because like others say I'm not forced to use it... however people are correct in saying, sony fucked up. I hope they prove me wrong, but the items in HOME being that disgustingly overpriced, go right ahead and destroy what I thought this would be. Very little customization, and a gimicky way to get suckers to spend their money.

The game spaces were ok, but they only lasted like 5 minutes before it wore off.

Well, after spending about 20 minutes with it, I'm now convinced that Home is probably the worst thing SCE has ever been involved in.

The idea isn't bad, but the execution was horrendous. I really think this could work in some way, just not like this..

Co-sign. Everything else is realistic and then you go to the mustaches and they look terrible cut-outs of terrible mustaches.

Well, waiting for 3+ years is what got us this, frankly, I'm not interested.

$5.99 for a summer home.

Are you fucking FOR REAL Sony...

I had fun running around with my friends from Sony tonight and goofing around, molesting girls (i.e., clipping my arms through them) and doing the old running man line in the public plaza. :P

But yeah, I think I'm done.

I wonder if Phil Harrison was let go for greenlighting this turd.

Walked into the theater to be greeted with a loading screen on the screen for about 5 minutes. Is streaming patented or somethin? WTF is this shit. Just some cheap preview too of some crappy movie. No other choices? Why does this theater even exist? Who would do this when I can just download the shit off the playstation store at much higher quality.

Its funny seeing all these punks walkin around though. Its like the Real World: Xbox Live addition or somethin. All the chick avatars are surrounded by dudes. Haha... damn

Does no one have a headset, or are people just chattin privately? I heard one dude blabberin while walkin around but thats it. Yet I see a bunch of random groups just chillin next to each other. Are they talking?

It's totally embarrassing. I feel bad for the people who must have put many hours into this. In between thinking they should feel shameful for getting paid.

I have to respectfully disagree. The concept of HOME is quite revolutionary. That being said, HOME came out feeling like a small prototype. If Sony adds a LOT more content including the ability to stream content from your PS3 onto a tv in your apartment space (like originally planned) among other high profile features then HOME could become really awesome.

Imagine being able to watch a movie with friends you invite over who do not own the movie. Of course in this day in age, companies would probably make a big deal out of it. In the 80's, sharing movies was a common thing. Also it should allow games to jump right into games that are in your system along with friends joining in.

At any rate, HOME as it stands right now feels completely unfinished and that is unfortunate. The Trophy room should have launched with HOME with support for at least 10-15 games at start including titles like Resistance and Uncharted. Most people will likely get a half an hour or so real fun out of HOME before turning it off and moving on. Still HOME is far from being the worst idea ever. It has potential but Sony needs to really crank up the development on it. It's been years in development for what, a couple rooms? That isn't very cool.

Yeah this is bad man :(. I heard all the negativity during the closed beta, but I never really believed it... HOME is destined to fail. The game launching doesn't work well, at least yet, the theater is useless, the games are mediocre and can be played easier and better online for free (yahoo games and such). The items, though I have all of them for now are absolutely overpriced. I can't understand that, because when it was completely empty I kept saying well the customization will make it worth it.. it just won't exist. And what are the point of the game spaces? They're pretty to look at for like 5 minutes. It's all just a waste of time and money.

Well I wouldn't say that. I would say that just like the PS3, they should have waited till they actually had a bunch of content before launching.

I do rather like the avatar tools...I feel I have much more control than I do NXE avatars. Still I do wish they had stepped a little away from the normal people look. I'd rather it look like a cosplay convention. Hell I want my dragon avatar.

Perhaps my biggest frustrations so far have surrounded drop outs, network congestion and dealing with regioning (though thankfully it isn't locked by hardware region like i had heard it would).

I'm actually surprised that trophy rooms seem to be missing.

Experienced HOME for myself for the first time today...
-HOME avatars look like they were designed by Bethesda. Yes, you are given lots of customization and sliders to mess with, but it is damn hard to make somebody who isn't creepy. Makes me appreciate the cartoony Miis and even 360 avatars a bit more. Also, how are there fewer clothing options for HOME avatars than with the 360's (afterthought) avatars?
-the graphics are a little worse than I expected, jaggies, compressed skybox textures, the number of people running around is impressive, and I totally get the transparent people while their appearance data, but that ultra-low rez texture thing they do when you are a certain distance away is pretty jarring if you have an HDTV
-Literally within 10 seconds of entering the plaza I heard a guy screaming "fags" and the n-word, which is more disappointing to see these internet tough-guys than surprising. Lots of dancing and anyone with a girl avatar was swarmed.
-Waiting until a game frees up before you can play it kinda sucks
-Twilight...really? Really?
-The mall was filled with people complaining about HOME, whether it be the attempts to nickle and dime you for items, how ugly the characters are, and especially how little there is to do.

I spent about two hours trying every game, visiting every area, and chatting with folks. HOME has a long way to go before it could become something I would use with any frequency.

Is Japanese translated to English based on system language preferences?

Cause I was just in Japan and some guy was speaking English to me and I couldn't figure out how to respond in English.

For the love of GOD please more, MUCH MORE MUSIC in the Bowling Alley. Playing pool is great but playing pool with same track for extended periods of time is gonna make me go on a rampage!

Its not bad but its one of the most boring shit ever!! No interactivity at all wth! I personally think the lobbies in PSO is much more better than this.

I think Home is something that has to be opened up and put in the hands of actual people before it can really start to evolve and grow. Especially something that's centered around the community aspect like Home is. I think that's why it's remained largely static over the last year or so. They probably should have released it much sooner - even if it was in a rougher state - as it ensures faster growth of the service. Besides, now that they have no shortage of people logging into Home, it can start to fill some of its initial business roles of attracting advertisers and generating additional revenue streams.

I have a feeling Home will evolve quickly now that it's open to everyone.

Penguin Orament/Trophy - level 20
Is this an actual trophy or are we talking Home item?

Also, Uncharted arcade game. How do I beat the third level? Four snakes, a statue that you will have to shoot. The problem however is how to reach the treasure. How?

Home is just as terrible as it was in the closed beta.

The two game spaces currently available are pointless. In Far Cry 2's space you can look at an overhead map of what I'm guessing is FC2's game world, but I wonder why anyone would even give a shit about looking at an in-game map while outside of the game.

Uncharted's space is a tiny bar that has just three arcade cabinets which of course are always occupied by other players. It's got a jukebox and piano -- both of which can't actually be interacted with. Basically only a handful of people can do anything interactive while the rest just stand around waiting and doing nothing. Both spaces suck and neither would actually sell anybody on the game.
