So your on the fence... Ok.I’m not retarded if that’s what your suggesting. Really don’t know if it’s a complete success or failure since I don’t really have any metrics to compare it to.
So your on the fence... Ok.
I bet you dont have such an issue declearing weather other games are success or failures.
I thought u wanted to move on lolIs a failure by any metric. MS (a triple trillion dollar company) should be ashamed of themselves.
I didn't like it for several reasons, but unlike some in this thread I cant put my personal taste to one side and actually look at all the relevant metrics. FW sold very well, it scored highly, played well had great visuals....Actually I’m struggling to decide if Horizon Forbidden West was successful or not.
I moved on. You don't/can't.I thought u wanted to move on lol
Infinite is not a failure.
Sus-Krates trying to derail the thread by inserting infinite conversation here. Lol. Trying to 'hide' Xbox failures.
I didn't like it for several reasons, but inlike some in this thread I cant put my personal taste to one side and actually look at all the relevant metrics. Zero dawn sold very well, it scored highly, played well had great visuals....
I think as a general statement zero dawn was a success.
For me personally it was not.
So, you can't accept Infitie is a failure and you a trying to gaslight people .Lol, i wasnt even the one who initiated the infinite conversation.
Im not the one doing the gaslightingSo, you can't accept Infitie is a failure and you a trying to gaslight people .
Most people on social media are borderline retarded. Why do people on social media say that Xbox is winning and that Microsoft is the market leader?

Swings and roundabouts isn't it. This Gen sony have got arrogant again, ps5 is a pos and has the worst controller in history, and don't give me that ma haptic shit. The pad is oversized, over weight and has shit ergonomics.
Jajajajjajajajjajajjajajajjajajajajajja
is this your argument?.
Is common knowledge that Halo Infinite's hyped got the best of reviewers.
But the amount/lack of content was/hasn't being enough to sustain a GaaS.
Halo has been bleeding player left and right.
Out of the top 10.
Even the disaster, that was battlefield...still has more players.
Halo Infinite as a GaaS is just a Fart in the wind.
Halo is back.So theres good and bad metrics....
If both were bad I would agree it is a failure overall, but they aren't...
Glad you have come to reason.Halo is back.
The King is back to the throne. And when I say throne, I mean:
The decision to buy as many massive studios as they can is not the greatest thing for gaming. They clearly are trying to make subscription services the way of the future. We shall see how that pans out. I for 1 hope it fails miserably.Microsoft did that to themselves with dumb choices. They aren't doing that this generation.
The fact a release like Halo Infinite has an 87 is actually...sad considering what was missing from the game on release day.Im not the one doing the gaslighting
Halo 3The game sold 2.4 million copies and earned up to US$125 million in its first 24 hours on store shelves, outgrossing the film Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest as the highest-grossing release in entertainment history.[50][53] The game sold 260,000 units in the United Kingdom in its first week, making it the third fastest-selling title in that territory.[54] It ultimately received a "Double Platinum" sales award from the Entertainment and Leisure Software Publishers Association (ELSPA),[55] indicating sales of at least 600,000 copies in the United Kingdom.[56] It was the second best-selling game of 2004 in the United States (after Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas), where it sold 4.2 million copies that year
I feel like some people don't remember how HUGE Halo truly was...or aren't old enough i don't know.First-day sales of Halo 3 reached $170 million in the U.S., setting a record for highest gross of a video game within 24 hours of its release.[77] The performance beat the previous record setter—Halo 2—which earned $125 million within 24 hours of its launch.[77] The game was preordered by more than one million people in North America.[78] Worldwide more than US$300 million worth were sold in the first week, helping to more than double the sales of the Xbox 360 when compared with the weekly average before the Halo 3 launch.[79] By 2010, Microsoft reported total grosses at $600 million

Also...a game going from 102k average players on PC to 11k 3 months later is a disaster for such a supposedly huge IP.
As someone posted before even Battlefield (which everyone made fun of when released) which had half of Halo's players at release date has more players currently which shows how bad the situation really is.
Watching this IP going from Halo 2 and 3 to...whatever is happening right now is just sad.
Halo 2
Halo 3

It's just another Ip run to the ground by Microsoft, like Fable, Gears of War, etc.
It seems like you're really the only one who believes that, so.Ok your wrong... Infinite is not a failure lets move on

Game development is hard and takes time. Can you think of any titles this year that were delayed? I can.I think the issue is that it’s taking a long time for 343 to release that content. Not that it’s being actively worked on.
To be fair, if you can't put out content at a decent pace you shouldn't make a live service game.Game development is hard and takes time. Can you think of any titles this year that were delayed? I can.

That's what happens with most AAA games these days. Almost every long awaited sequel will get at least 85 even if mediocre. A 90 means it's a good title. Only after 95 it's actually excellent now.I'm genuinely not sure how it scored that high. The campaign is a hard 7, its generic af and has literally no environmental variety. The multiplayer is fun but it's just dead as hell. I think the scores were carried more by enthusiasm than actual quality tbh
Pretty easy to say on the outside looking in. Multiple live service games had growing pains. To be fair, if you can't put out content at a decent pace you shouldn't make a live service game.
Well it's certainly easier to make a single player offline title over a live service multi-player one. Efficiency helps but it is not the sole metric.I guess that depends on the developer. Some are more efficient than others.
Well, yeah, but I don't really think these are growing pains when the game launched without basic features that last games had.Pretty easy to say on the outside looking in. Multiple live service games had growing pains.

Launch was fine what do you mean? It made Microsoft think there was nothing wrong with $500 until later.Considering how terrible the Xbox One launch was, selling half as many as the ps4 is quite the accomplishment tbf
Yeah sure bro, me and all the 1000s of people who rate it highly..... As well as professional reviewers who rate it highly. It seems like you're really the only one who believes that, so.

Going by that logic all single player games that have a drop off suck ..Yeah, and all the people still playing it, because its SO good.
Oh, wait.
Going by that logic all single player games that have a drop off suck ..
Comparing one of the most iconic multiplayer games of all time to single player story games is a weird coping mechanism but you do you.
Last game was not open world. Those basic features were far easier to implement in the last game.Well, yeah, but I don't really think these are growing pains when the game launched without basic features that last games had.
What do you mean?? The Xbox One absolutely had an awful launch. Almost all the news and buzz leading up to it was negative. The mandatory Kinect that everyone thought would spy on them. The idiotic decision not to have used game sharing, constant internet connection required. The push to be an entertainment center instead of a console. The large size, and comparisons to vcr player.... It was absolutely a disaster of a launch from a pr perspective.Launch was fine what do you mean? It made Microsoft think there was nothing wrong with $500 until later.
