PS5 is outselling Xbox Series Consoles at a rate of about 4 to 1 the last 15 months

I've never seen anyone explain why digital and physical sales wouldn't correlate strongly.
Because different platforms in Europe have different ratios. In the last couple of years in Europe, new games have had a higher average digital ratio on Xbox than PlayStation (and both are higher than Switch).

A negative knock on effect of this has been a lack of retail presence in shops.

There’s a couple of local small businesses in my city that sell new games and they’ve stopped stocking Xbox stuff.

The lack of visibility isn’t helping Xbox.

Yes, I am sure they do, but not so much that it would meaningfully shift anything. FIFA is a top seller on both platforms, and the vast majority of FIFA money is on PlayStation whether digital or physical. If it is 82/18 physical, maybe it is like, 77/23 digital but even that would be a stretch.

Bizarrely Tesco no longer stock video games but they still sell quite a lot of Xbox merchandise:

I noticed recently in a local store that they stopped selling the Xbox gift cards though.

I still see some Xbox retail presence in the UK, but not as much as PlayStation.
