PS5 : The Future Of Gaming. NeoGAF Viewing Thread. June 11th 1PM PDT/ 9PM BST

Yea great.. A teaser for demon souls. Prob wont be released for a few years though..
So they showed spiderman miles for holiday 2020? But no gameplay, barely anything about what its about..

Not really to excited yet about anything

So far i feel like all these graphics are attainable on PS4, especially the ones with cartoony aesthetics which appears to be 90% of what's been revealed.

"If at first you don't succeed, die die again". I like that tagline.

Please tattoo that onto the foreheads of all the noob scrubs online

one thing I don't get is that for as much shit as we saw Microsoft get for having a conference and not showing off any actual gameplay Sony has done essentially the exact same thing albeit they've shown more gameplay. Why on Earth would they not try and rectify that for a conference like this it makes no sense.

I have a PC, a Switch and a PS4 and a Vita. All Sony and Nintendo consoles. I play everything. The truth is that most Sony games are okay these days, but not really great. The only Sony exclusive I have in my top for this/last gen is Bloodborne. I guess Nioh might count as well (though it released on PC 6 months later), though it was a game that slowly convinced me after putting it off for a while and it's been overall not so well received by a lot of the Souls demographics. It honestly didn't have much pull after the pre-release "demo", but it did grow on me to bring it up.

Nintendo is good for first party and they've really done well with the Switch. Sony... eh... varies and they're usually really late in the generation, so investment early isn't worth it on exclusives alone.

Fair enough. To each their own when it comes to game taste. Sony crushes it for me as someone who loves cinematic, narrative driven games more than anything else and also likes there "Nintendo-ish" stuff like Astrobot, Ratchet, LBP etc.

I'll probably just stuck with Nintendo and Sony going forward. PC exclusives mostly haven't been up my alley at all, a few indies aside and most eventually came to PC and I've never enjoyed that many Xbox first party games. I like the campaigns in Halo and Gears a lot, but haven't liked the recent ones as much as the 360 games. So that's probably not enough to upgrade my PC (it should run Halo Infinite fine anyway as it ran Gears 5 great and Halo is getting an X1 version so it should scale down well). They've bought a lot of studios so maybe they'll have more that interests me to justify a later in the generation purchase.

No thanks.

I kinda would have thought Sony would have more adult next gen games prepared. I mean nothing looks even close to TLOU2. really like that their pushing Indie Devs, but I want to see something that's truely fresh

if they would at least release those games on PS4 too because its easily possible, then it would be okay, butnot like this?

I imagine at this point anyone with talent at THE INITIATIVE is freshening up their resumes right now for a shot with Sony.
