I'm impressed with what the system can do, but its design is really bad. It looks like a toy. Which of course it is, but usually Sony goes for something different.

This is like that $15 gaming mouse with an extra fancy exaggerated design and lights. "Look at how advanced I am bc all this cool shaped plastic". It comes off as silly and try-hard.

I hope eventually I can get an all-black one, that would help it a lot, but still.

Lot's of games I want to play. Nothing that makes me want to invest into a console/computer upgrade for those graphics. Except maybe Horizon.

Overall I'm not impressed, Nothing screamed next gen to me and way too many week looking indies and kids games.

Village and the Square game look kind of interesting, Horizon looks even more appealing than I thought it would and it DOES look next gen. That underwater stuff was killer. Although the console looks like some kind of weird router, I think I like it.

I don't like Dark Souls type games, but a shit ton of Sony fans do so the DS remaster is a great next gen game for you guys. Plus there is a Spiderman game or expansion and a lot of people were wanting R&C so overall not too bad of show for PS5 fans.

I deeply hope the Xbox 1st party show has some games that truly show us next gen and totally blow us away in July because so far games have been fairly disappointing for me.

I liked Ratchet & Clank, Horizon, and a few of the indies -- Little Devil Inside, Stray, Kena. I'm indifferent about the rest. That's par for the course for these shows. There are a few games I like, and the rest are for other people, not me.

I mean Spiderman, Horizon, GT7, GT5 expansion, Resident Evil 8, Ratchet and Clank . . . that's fucking great on paper. But I can't shake that they look and play like PS4 games.

I think that I set my expectations too high after seeing the Unreal demo. None of the stuff really represented a great leap forward visually. I really hope that Sony takes Nintendo's route and launches with Last of Us 2. Visually and gameplay wise that game looks a whole generation ahead what Sony showed off today. It would give me a reason to pick up the PS5.

You need to watch some of the trailers @4K on Youtube again. Looked underwhelming in the stream for me, but look epic on Youtube on my OLED screen.

Yeah, show wasn't really any more impressive than xbox's. Just a bunch of games that look like upgraded versions of present-gen consoles, and even the more impressive ones like HZD2 didn't had any gameplay shown.

It was much better than xbox's presentation for one reason, it actually showed gameplay from most of these games. Xbox's seemed like all CGI trailers like AC Valhalla, etc. Xbox reveal was basically PS3 2006 with CGI movies for every game.

PS4 launched I only bought 2 games. They just showed 12 I would buy day 1.
Madden, The Show, COD, Battlefield, etc are all coming. Not to mention 1st party new IP and we already saw HZD.

The only next gen "looking" game was Horizon 2 but Guerilla cant make good gameplay to save their life.
Hyper Light Drifter team makes one of the best 2d games ever and their next project is....generic 3D. Okay?
Gran Turismo will be stellar but it didnt look too hot if being honest.
Nothing here screamed next gen - at all.

With disc and non disc version - this to me kills any hope for expand BC for older playstations. Its going to be limited to PS4 only.

The ones with gameplay though weren't really that impressive. The whole point of a gameplay is to say "Look! this is how the game will look like while you're playing!". Ratchet and Clank even tried to showcase the SSD capabilities with the whole dimensional jump thing, but what stood out to me the most was how they added a transition screen that would normaly be used to hide the loading of assets, felt sort of ironic.

Extremely disappointed. After all the hype from developers, "ONLY ON PLAYSTATION 5!!!", etc.. None of the stuff they showed are things that cannot be done one PC and an XB1X. I am not disappointed about the games. I am disappointed in a system that was supposed to magically have all games look like the UE5 demo. Sound crazy? Well that's the narrative lots of people here were pushing.
