Fantastic design. People can't even argue between this and Xbox Series X.
You know what i fucked up.
I set it to 1080 for the show to force it to stay like that vs auto.
I have to set the quality to 4k.
Man you good.
We havent seen much yet.
We havent seen much yet.
The best is still to come.
Though i believ the hard to swallow pill will be the price.
Not for me but most people.
And my god the haters today. Pathetic
No i see it now. Gt7 in smooth 60fps.Not you of course, but heard too much noise and farts in this threads from lots of trolls.
Watch the videos on 4K, even with the heavy compression, it represents the same screenshots I've show. I can make you some myself. I think most of them aren't watching in 4K to begin with.
No i see it now. Gt7 in smooth 60fps.
So its something to point out that at the end of each video it tells you if its full exclusive or timed .
Some other thread was about how demon souls and hzd2 will come to pc.
Not according to the disclamer in the videos
Fuck man sorry i am tired out of my mind. Yeah i saw ot before.Yup, took me like half an hour for this post, sums it up.

PS5 : The Future Of Gaming. NeoGAF Viewing Thread. June 11th 1PM PDT/ 9PM BST
Looked okay but nothing you're trying to sell a system on. I hear what you’re saying, although a minority of games are actually considered system sellers for the masses (there’s 2500+ games on ps4 (how many are considered system sellers?), which sold 110M and had quite the average launch...www.neogaf.com
Fuck man sorry i am tired out of my mind. Yeah i saw ot before.
Maybe give it a new thread? You know. For the haters.
Let the tears flow. I have buckets of buckets for all the cry babies. Here you go

Why I think the PS5 reveal event deserves 10/10?
Good morning (9:51am here) Well, going to the event I only expected to like around 2-3 games max, and I was amazed by so many interesting titles with original ideas! Most PS5 only games were native 4K, and looked very impressive. Let's get into them: NOTE: Interest percentage is personal...www.neogaf.com
I think you misunderstand my comment. Technically it will fit in my living room but since it won't conveniently fit in most tv stands they are asking people to just put that giant console out on display. Most people like to have their living room look like it all fits together.
I think both the next generation consoles look a bit hard to fit into peoples existing setup's.
What was written below was going to be a private response based exclusively on yesterday's event that was broadcast in 1080 @ 30 (although they later posted the videos at 4K @ 60).
I haven't read any messages since yesterday, so I don't know if any new comments or information have come out.
After the anger I will try to write this as calmly as possible.
I am disappointed with the presentation. It did not seem to me that they have demonstrated the true generational change.
The strange thing is that they have material for it. I don't know why they don't use it. They have dedicated themselves to teaching Indie games, multiplatform with generic engines and the few exclusive ones were with recycled engines. And from GT7 they have not taught any accident or climate change.
That seems good to me that things are saved for later, but damn, then don't call it "The future of gaming" or "obvious generational leap". Call it "appetizer". I've seen better PS4 games than most trailers yesterday. It is true that in 4K things improve, but it still shows that they are recycled engines.
I realize that until a year or two from now we will not see the true visual leap, when games begin to use UE5 natively and Sony make engines that take advantage of PS5.
This game will be released on PS4 this year and looks better than Demon's Souls on PS5.
It is true that it is a multiplatform game and that the images are surely from PC (or PS4Pro), but they could have perfectly made Demon's Souls with that quality.
I really don't understand what they are doing.
They could have taught a photorealistic horror game (well, two) that you screw upside down and they haven't.
The only positive thing about yesterday is that all the trash has been taken from him (I hope). In addition, most trailers are made in 2019. But they have not lived up to expectations. I hoped that everything they showed would live up to what I saw behind closed doors. And it was not so.
Damn, we came from here ...▼

The least expected is this, if you use the phrase "The future of gamming".▼
![]()
This is the minimum PS5 needs to start generation. Otherwise, they are giving no reason for people to jump. I don't have the capacity to do it, but I do expect it from your internal studies.
And and the problem is not that it cannot be done. The problem is that they are not being consistent in the names and expectations that they are giving to their conferences. I hope that from here to the exit they fix it in some way. And it is true that what is taught are products in development with room for improvement, but then do not sell it like that.
The only thing they are doing well is "not selling smoke with the trailers".
They could teach things like this▼

And they decide to teach this.▼

At an event called "the future of gamming".
![]()
I understand that they should also make room for this type of games, but then give the event another name. Host another event in July called "PS3 Indie Trash Remastered for PS5".
I am a developer and I value the work of my colleagues, it is not a criticism of their work, I know what it costs to do every little piece of their work. What I criticize is the way Sony has to sell it to the public. In my opinion, there is no coherence between the Slogans and what has been shown.
And GT7 ... there have been trailers in the past where the grass moved when cars passed, not even here. Mixing old assets with new assets from megascans ... but if you use megascans for remote areas and recycled assets for nearby areas ... what consistency does that have? That is worth, that it is a recycled circuit, but then do not show it in the conference of "the future of gaming", show a car crashing and breaking into pieces, or make up the trailer a bit. I know that in GT7 I am not going to stop to look at the grass, but by God, do not do a macro zoom to the grass showing those assets from the time of PS3, approach the mountain and show the asset of megascan.
I return to the same thing, it is not a problem of the real capacity, it is a problem of what you decide to show, how and when. But if you put it together with the slogan "the future of gaming" it is logical that the user can and should be disappointed.
How dare they say that they believe in generational changes by showing games that visually (without pausing) could go through games on their own PS4? I do not understand, really.
And the VR?
Wake up Sony! Wake up!
Microsoft is doing better in marketing campaign. And if Sony does not demonstrate its potential before the consoles come out, it will have lost the generation before starting, even if later it releases brilliant games.
I'm going to eat.
Wonderful rant, my friend. I think you'll change your mind if you check out the screenshots, or the 4K videos at least. They're very good to my taste. Waiting for more!
I do think one of the major issues is with the current generations upgrades within their respective lifecycles, as it makes improvements far more difficult to see, and we were already getting to the point of diminishing returns in terms of visuals, more so for the mass market.
Personally I see way, way more better upgrades on what's show compared to current gen.
If anyone saying that by looking at a 1080p tv/monitor then he'll never understand it. The details are insane in those, that ratchet and clank is near movie level!
You are more technical just like I am, and to most people on this site the differences are more apparent.

Yes, in 4K it improves. But my complaint is due to the lack of coherence between the advertised slogan and the global quality of what is shown. We're still in the transition phase, by the end of next gen we'll laugh at those launch titles. Most engines need to be overhauled to take full advantage of PS5's I/O and SSD.

I mean, let's see ... It's as if McDonald's tells you it's going to do a presentation event and calls the event "the future of hamburgers."
Many will expect this ▼
![]()
Logically it's not a realistic hope, since you all know that burgers are not that perfect in the end, so you can really expect something like that. ▼
![]()
What I do not consider acceptable is that an event called "the future of the hungry" will get this ▼

But that's not what makes me angry. What makes me angry is knowing that PS5 can do this... ▼

...and they decide not to show it.

... they could have given another name to the event.
I do not criticize the quality of what is shown. But the incoherence between what is shown and the slogan.
In my opinion everything should have been Top. And Indie games leave them for an exclusive separate event. But hey, as I say is my opinion, I am human and you don't always have to agree with me. I am an imperfect machine and too demanding.
Proof?5 million within the first 90 days as confirmed straight from the Franchise Director at 343 himself, Frank O'Connor. Who posted it on here neogaf confirming it, due false rumors being put out there coincidentally on this very same forum & various sites.

Kotaku UK Rumor: Xbox One, Windows 10, Halo 5, & Minecraft notably below expectations
It did under 1M in its first NPD month. So? All their sales don't come from Physical US and it was like 4 days coverage. it did 950k physical in the US in 4 days, and you think it took them 3 months to get another 50k worldwide + including digital? lolwww.neogaf.com
Not bad for a console that had around a 16 million user base at the time, give or take.
4 years later, you can bet your ass it's well over 10 by now.
Proof?
Ah so no proof or fact, well you're irrelevant with a claimBrain?
Indie games are a Playstation staple. It's part of the brand's heritage. IMO, some of the best games were indie, like Little Devil. Some of the indie games looked fucking horrendous such as that furrie game. The conference was boring me with all that indie shit.
I also noted almost all AAA titles now focus on female protagonists only... Getting kinda boring if I'm honest. There should be a balance.
Ah so no proof or fact, well you're irrelevant with a claim
Tell that to MS not me, i not the one releasing the numbers, the fact they didnt means I get the edge because if they would have passed 10Oh, so no proof it didn't? Thanks for making your post irrelevant before I even gave you the benefit of the doubt.
![]()
My dear friend, Sony is not going to show their full potencial knowing that MS is hosting a huge event in August.
I do agree that they showed too much indie games, but it was not a bad event at all. Really good games were annunced and we saw the console form factor (I love it).
Next stop: the console teardown, where they could be more specific.
People like it, dont worry too much![]()
