Place the fix folder in PSP/GAME
Make sure you back up all your current save data before you run this just in case.
Then run it like an app after a second or two it will say "Done!"
Try your game out! Can't say this is 100% though but it worked for my Final Fantasy I save.
I did. I installed the newest Prometheus, Prome-4 or whatever. I just wanted to know if I could upgrade right from the old Prometheus.Zaraki_Kenpachi said:No it isn't. Look like 8 posts up.
Mejilan said:To my knowledge, there's still no way of performing KH:BbS' in-game data install.
But ripping it an ISO is just as effective as performing the largest in-game install, if not more so. You can easily run the game in high quality mode and enjoy greatly diminished loads on top of that.
Phoenixus said:Yeah, game installing via that method doesn't work on CFW, I've tried it with BBS and Dissidia respectively. ISO-rip it, the rip will have a major loading and performance boost over the regular play.
whoo! thanks for the feedback!!Zaraki_Kenpachi said:Installing how? I'm not quite sure what you mean by this. You mean the in game thing to install? Why not just rip the iso?
Is this why none of my PSN downloads work, and just give me the error code? I'm on the latest Prometheus.Classic_Gs said:Hawt! I wonder if it will let me play my PSN version of P3P....
Edit: and no :/

Trojita said:I haven't played my PSP in a long time. It's a PSP-2000 that I believe is currently running a later release of Dark-Alex's CFW from a long time ago. If I want to play some games but don't want to have to update to an OFW what is the new CFW I should update to? Is it this Prometheus thing I see you guys talking about?
charlequin said:Yup. If you're running old Dark Alex CFW, you're going to want to update to 5.00-M33, then 5.50 GEN-D3 Final, then from there to Prometheus-4.
Grimmy said:I did that and now all my save files cannot be loaded Dunno what to do!
spindoc said:Revert back to your previous custom firmware, this whole savegame encryption mess is so annoying to deal with. There are solutions to deal with it, but you have to go with a case by case basis for each of your saves.
lobdale said:So I really wanna play Tactics Ogre when it comes out in English (Feb. 15). Someone told me that there were problems with the Japanese version on his custom firmware PSP... do you think if I buy the retail disc from the US it'll be okay or do they have some kind of protection in it?
Kinda praying for a PSN release on this.
lobdale said:I really don't know! I just want to play the game ;_;
Grimmy said:Do you still have this file? I tried to download it but it says the link doesn't work anymore... I stupidly tried out Prometheus 4 and now my save game files are corrupt
Phoenixus said:Hmm, from what I can understand, the reason my PSN copy of FF7 doesn't work is that the CFW is detected when downloading the game and the files are locked, to put it in a 'no idea about the technical terms kinda way'. Is there a plugin or something to bypass this check?
I've used PSNLover to get onto the store, and I've tried changing the version.txt to 6.35 to try and fool the download, but it doesn't seem to work. :/
Wouldn't start; it would show me the startup text about 'straining your eyes, yada yada', then revert back to the menu with an error message.Zaraki_Kenpachi said:It won't start or it won't download?
I've tried some cables with my CFW-ed PSP Slim, and it definitely works. However, there is a little lag between button presses and the reaction onscreen, though I'm attributing that to them being cheap cables off eBay. And the image doesn't fill the whole of your TV screen, though you can fiddle around with your TV's Zoom settings to deal with that.MechaX said:Alright, since I'm running out of options here (doing everything in my power to not be forced to buy a new PSP), I've just learned that it is possible to just output the PSP on a HDTV (which works will enough for me, since RemoteJoy on the PC is ridiculously slow and doesn't work for actual UMDs for some reason and I never actually take my PSP anywhere outside of my house). Provided that I buy a portable component cable from Radioshack/Wal-Mart/Target, can I just output to the TV with a homebrew firmware like GEN with no problems/lag?

Is the reason you're considering a new unit because your screen's broken? If so, that sucks. (More so if you can't see the screen to navigate to the options segment that switches between the PSP screen and TV output. :/ )
alf717 said:Yes I do I will re-upload it to mediafire.

After going a little research I noticed there are different version of this fix.
5.03 Gen-C Savegame fix
- fixes that savegames are corupt or damaged
- Only for psp3000
- MADE BY LUCA00555
5.03 Gen-C Savegame fix
- fixes that savegames are corupt or damaged
- Only for psp2000
- MADE BY LUCA00555
5.50 Gen-D3 Savegame fix
- fixes that savegames are corupt or damaged
- Only for psp1000/2000
- MADE BY LUCA00555
Can't say for sure which one I have but I used this last on my 5.50 GEN-D PSP model 1001. So it may not work for PSP version 3000 or higher. Also just an FYI make sure you back up your saved games before use since I have no idea if this works with Prometheus.
Edit #2:
How does this Prometheus work? I'm on 5.50 GEN-D, do I just run the v4 download posted earlier or do I need to prep something first?
Edit #3:
N/M I got it.

I just turned on my PSP for the first time! I am going away tomorrow and was going to set it up, automatically I updated to 6.35, I just realized that prometheus wont work for this firmware!!!
Can I wipe the PSP and start from scratch? I was really looking forward tonight to throw on some games, I did buy crisis core and the new MGS game but I don't want to carry around the UMDS....ugh did I just make a irreversible(for now) mistake?
Look just a few posts up, a couple of us had the exact same problem. Download the save file fixer that was posted and follow the directions, it should work and fix all your saves.JudgeN said:Moved all my games/saves to 32 gb card and upgraded to Prom-4 and everything is all jacked up now. Saves are corrupted and Eye of Judgment PSP won't even load, is there a way to fix this or downgrade back to 5.50 Prom?
I tried that method (back up saves, then replace old saves after upgrade) and it did not work for me. I'm not sure if there's any way to not have to use the save file uncorrupter thing, but if in my opinion it's not really a big deal. It's easy to fix your saves and you get the advantage of having the upgraded Prometheus firmware. Do it!charlequin said:Since I haven't actually upgraded myself yet: can I avoid having to futz around with save decorrupors or whatever by just backing up my saves to my PC before I upgrade and then restoring them afterwards, or is this a thing where I need to re-encrypt them to match the new CFW?

Oyashiro said:Hey guys, I have a question. I know that a long time ago, a plugin that allowed you to save your games at any time was released. I think it was called PSP States or something like that. It was for m33 firmware, Slim only, and it was on beta. Whatever happened to that? Is it still being developed? Is it compatible with Prometheus firmware?
