How do I know if the firmware worked? I loaded the Minna demo with the save and m PSP Go just crashes. Is it installed or did I do something wrong? I have FW 6.31

Yes. You should be able to boot anything you've bought from PSN directly from the system while you're not in HEN. Not sure if you can do it from HEN, but I would assume you could.jling84 said:Quick question. I have a PSPgo and I'm planning on putting the 6.20 HEN on it. From what I understand, rips from PS1 games don't work yet, but the PS1 releases Sony has on the PSN will work. Is that correct?
Marrshu said:If it worked, you should have been sent back to the XMB, and your system verison should be "6.31 PRO"
Make sure you use the correct HEN. The 6.35 HEN will crash if accidentally used on a 6.31 system.
Host Samurai said:I am positive I downloaded the 6.31. I also renamed the EBOOT.PBP file to 6.31.
Doesn't Oath require 6.20 or is that moot with this method?Quixzlizx said:For anyone having trouble getting Prometheus to work on 6.20 Hen, I just ripped 8 UMDs to ISOs using my PSP 1000 with M33 CFW, and they all worked fine on the Go. The games included newish (KitN, Z.H.P., both Ys games) and older (Wild Arms XF) titles. So, it shouldn't matter how you're ripping the UMDs.
Marrshu said:Bwah? Why would you rename the EBOOT.PBP?
Host Samurai said:It said that on the instructions to rename it with the FW number. Like I said before I am awful with this :lol

undecided said:How did you add a PSN account to your Go so that it knew who to email the voucher to? I can't launch the PSN or add my account without an update (on 6.10)
http://us.playstation.com/psn/events/pspgodigitalgamepack.html said:Once you purchase the PSP go system, getting the emailable game voucher is easy. If you already have a PlayStation®Network account, just sign into your account using your PSP go system or if you are brand new to the PlayStation® family, just register for the Network via your new PSP go system. Once you sign in a game code will be sent to the email address associated with your PlayStation®Network account within 7-10 business days.

Also, why is an adapter needed for an M2 stick? I thought that's what the slot is.
Linkzg said:I checked again and you're right, it doesn't even let me enter my info. To be honest, I wasn't sure why I got the voucher and assumed it was because I attempted to sign in with my go, but now that I double check, it doesn't let you enter the info...ok, now I'm a bit weirded out. The only other way it could have happened is when I connected it to my PS3.
I got my PSP Go a week ago, hooked it up to my PS3 to download the few downloadable games I own (Thexder Neo, Badman, Patchwork heroes; download only stuff), then just last night I got an email with a voucher. According to the website:
I technically didn't do that. The package I got my PSP Go didn't advertise the three free games either (as shown in the one from the website).
I'm not complaining since I own two games I didn't before (already had Ratchet) but I'm curious as to how it happened now.
Heh. I'm planning on futzing around with all this tonight through this weekend and updating the OP accordingly. It's long overdue anyway.I NEED SCISSORS said:I'm thinking of packaging up every single file you need for HEN to work in one RAR/ZIP. Quixzlizx said:I don't know, because my Go is at 6.20. I only used the M33 PSP to rip the ISO.

B.K. said:I just ripped my copy of Oath in Felghana and put it on my Go. It works with the Prometheus Loader. The Loader is based on the Prometheus updates for 5.50-GEN. I assume anything that works with Prometheus should work with Prometheus Loader.
AgentOtaku said:Ah I see. My Oath in Felghana is PSN version =(
B.K. said:It should still work, shouldn't it? Or does the DRM keep it from working? I don't have any experience with PSN versions. I've never bought a single game from the PSN.
Quixzlizx said:Anyone have a list of the best emulators that are Hen 6.20 compatible? This is my first "CFW" since M33, so I'm a bit out of the loop when it comes to homebrew apps.
Freyjadour said:There's a youtube video that has this. But I'm not going to link it until I know if that's ok or not. I'd think it would be okay considering we're dealing with free demos in all cases.
It's against ToS on CAG, but not sure about GAF. There are other obvious places for this sort of thing. Also I should note that I don't think it is their policy to accept printed coupons, but in reality it's more of a YMMV kind of thing. I actually had a decent conversation with the guy working Electronics at my Target about the Go and recent developments.
Not sure how up to date the emulator versions are but here is a list:Quixzlizx said:Anyone have a list of the best emulators that are Hen 6.20 compatible? This is my first "CFW" since M33, so I'm a bit out of the loop when it comes to homebrew apps.

MBison said:I'm a noob when it comes to knowledge about CFW. I have a PSP I purchased that had CFW already on it, 5.50 D3. It works for everything I've tossed at it so far.
So question, do I need to upgrade to this 6.2/6.3 Hen or whatever for new titles coming out (Third Birthday, Prinny 2) ? How hard is it to update, is it just software transfer over, etc?
I fear bricking![]()
MoogPaul said:So I'm trying to get HEN 6.35 to work on my psp 2000 daxter series. Every time I load up the save file, I get a message that says "WARNING MEMORY LEAK" and then I get dumped back into the psp xmb. I've formatted a couple times with no change in results. Suggestions would be wonderful.
linkboy said:It really depends on if you want PSN access or not since HEN runs via OFW.
CFW has an advantage over HEN since its a permanant install.
My PSP is running GEN with Promethius installed.
Freyjadour said:That's what is supposed to happen. You can now run Prometheus, etc. Your system info should say something different than it did before.
Edit: You aren't putting on CFW or anything like that. It's sort of psuedo-CFW to allow your ISOs to run and homebrew, etc.
undecided said:is there a consensus on which PSP Go firmware is the "best" for HEN at the moment?
I am currently at 6.10, but I am not sure if I should go to 6.20, 6.31, or 6.35..
Mejilan said:Not too sure about the M2 adapter, but since it cost me $0.01 + $1.49 shipping, I figured I'd get it. Should allow me to directly interface with my PC, if nothing else.
Zaraki_Kenpachi said:There's also a caveat that any new firmware needs to be exploited in some sense for HEN to work. It's not guaranteed HEN will work with a new firmware.
Have you seen Mejilan post before? :lolCrazymoogle said:The PSPgo uses M2 only, so you don't need an adapter there (and with 16GB onboard it may take you awhile to use it anyway). But as you say, a memorystick adapter would make it easier to use with a card reader or an original PSP.

Wow, my handheld collection was way smaller back then!
Yeah, I know I don't need the M2 adapter for the Go itself.
And my current PSP 2000 is sporting 32GBs, so all I'm doing with this is bringing the Go up to parity with what I've been enjoying for mucho months.
