I know IGN had the sketches a while back, but look, it's done!

Looks like a playschool chainsaw with kool-aid spilled all over it. Nothing escapes the nintendo 'kiddie' curse.

I can acutlly see it been comfortable!!

The main anologe is used like the old N64 and the buttons..... well it depends on the size of you hand if you would be able to work them or not, the main chainswan handle looks to small for my right hand. I am also guessing it can be detached for the small brown base at the bottom....

The D-pad and left anologe work for me though, but overall it is a BIG WTF!! :lol

This is about as stupid as that sword controller for Onimusha. I wonder what kind of controller Capcom would make for a new Dino Crisis game.

Well, at least you could swing the Onimusha controller to swing the sword in the game. This looks like a "regular" controller.

Capcom should make an 'asscheeks' controller for the next PN03 game.

You have to spin it, to make her gyrate her ass on screen. :O

so those who said urgh/no/wtf here. What did you think of the DQ slime controller?

Verdict. Hawt.

um... is that meant to be brain under the chainsaw.. I guess you buy it as some sort of figurine... etc.

* I've always wanted to buy DINO CRISIS 3. Pity about the assine reviews.

When I first heard of this, I was thinking there'd be some extra control added in some way...such as being able to control the in-game chainsaw similarly to a real chainsaw using tilt direction and one button to give the chainsaw gas.

The slime controller rocks and has 'character'. That chainsaw controller just looks like a flimsy piece of shit that doesn't even look good on display.

why do people complain when these gimmick controllers dont look usable, i mean who would buy it to use as an actual controller, it's just to sit on your shelf

oh so is that why it's $50 and has analog sticks and buttons on it?

after looking at the big pic, i think i understand how it's held, and it looks like it is actually playable...

i mean, it's only a little bigger than the duke and i love the duke...

of course, i wouldn't actually spend $50 on it... :D

I detect alot of jealousy in this thread.

I'm not worried. I bet the PS2 controller is right around the corner. They didn't say anything about this being exclusive. nyuk nyuk nyuk

But seriously, that looks horrible. Maybe I just don't see how it would be held. It's hard to judge how a controller feels just by a picture, but that sure doesn't look comfortable. It's just a little novelty item anyway, doesn't really matter. I will admit one thing, I like the blood painting.

With 56k I got a chance to read the responses before seeing the pictures, I was like surely it can’t be that bad!

Then I swore the picture and that control sucks!

Even I won't go for this...
Holy shit. I didn't think it was possible for there to be a Resident Evil product that you refuse to purchase. Didn't you even buy the crappy $40 Cube ports of RE2 and RE3? Not that those were smart purchases or anything, but I would certainly buy this before I would buy such thoughtless and expensive rehashes. I am losing my faith in GA's ULTIMATE FANBOYS. What's next? Anyanka refusing to purchase the shitty Game Gear version of Mortal Kombat 2? YOU MUST BUY EVERYTHING!

The only thing that really seems stupid is that there is a piece of "the ground" attached to the controller. Why? I suppose it lets you safely store the controller on any level surface, but is that really an issue for the type of collector-fanatics that will buy this thing?

iawtp. how do you hold it? gimmick
Gimmick? No shit. Genius.

In other news this is quite significant. Nintendo: “We are going to equip the GameCube with a shitload of weird controlers and so are third-parties.”

Ta-da, a big rubbish chainsaw thing!

We still called up and asked for two samples though. When they land I’ll jot down what they’re like. And going of-topic somewhat, SPOnG received it’s Nintendo underpants this morning. You might have seen the piece on them last week or them for sale on 80stees.com

Life = complete :)
