Hello Far Eden Explorers!

It’s been great to see so many people jumping into ReCore and having fun. Our sincerest thanks to everyone who’s been playing and sharing their enjoyment of ReCore on social media or with friends and family.

We’re excited to let you know that, starting today, anyone who hasn’t yet had the opportunity to play ReCore can now experience their first 30 minutes of the game in a free trial version on both Xbox One and Windows 10 PCs. Players will meet Joule, her Corebot companion Mack, and begin their adventure in the beautiful and mysterious world of Far Eden. If you decide to buy the full game afterwards, you can pick up right where you left off, as your progress (and Achievements) in the trial will be reflected in the full game.

Also, thanks to our great ReCore community, we’ve received a lot of helpful feedback on the game and will be releasing several key updates today. You can read about them here. We’re committed to making your ReCore experience even more enjoyable, so stay tuned to our social channels and ReCoreGame.com for future ReCore news.

Until then, happy adventuring in Far Eden!

– The ReCore Team

I've enjoyed my time with it so far, though I haven't beaten it yet. For the price and if you can grab it even lower it's a good deal from what I have played.

How large is this demo? Because if its the full game, then ayy lmao.

Probably the whole training area and little dungeon, not bad for a demo I guess...

This is a great idea, maybe more people will pick it up...I want to see more Joule, she is a good new heroine IMHO.

Oh new update. Sucks I'm at work but will play tonight. I really enjoyed the game a lot, despite it being a bit unpolished but damn they have right ideas, platforming is excellent and combat is really fun. For $40, it's great.

Hope they sell enough to warranty ReCore 2. Especially for Scorpio.

Microsoft will find a way to put Joule in Killer Instinct and that will be it.

If loading times are improved on Xbox, then unfortunately I'm not seeing much of a difference after the update. Well, I hope they at least fix the respawn to death bugs in the game.

Impressions say the game starts off strong then drops off a cliff after an hour or two, so this is a clever idea. Might give it a shot anyway since it's free.

Awesome, really wanted to give this a try. Based on the reviews and impressions, it sounded like something I'd enjoy despite its flaws.

Sorry, it's too late for me. This game has always been a short rental or a bomba-price purchase only once it's received a ton of patches and we hit a drought.

Guess I'll try it since it's only 6GB but 30 minutes is a bit short.

"Decreased loading times".

What does this mean in real terms? 10%, 20%, 50%? Can anyone who has the game comment?

From Reddit

Loading times differ, but roughly 30 - 75% better depending on the area: Crawler = 5 - 20, Eden Tower = 5 - 10, Lonely Basin = 25 - 35, Dungeons = 10 - 20 Cradle and Shifting Sands = 55 - 65 seconds. These are all on the OG Xbox One.

The demo is actually a trial. Trials install the full game to the HDD, so you can play the game instantly once you buy it or somethin

Not really, it pretty much does that at the tower and that's more than 1 or 2 hours into the game. It didn't for me but it's more than a few hours before that "drop" happens (aka, get most of the prismatic cores).

Hopefully the loading times have improved, I still haven't gotten the update on my xbox, hopefully it improves those loading times. That's the biggest thing to me. Glad that they also fixed the respawn points. Those were annoying as hell. Still hope it sells enough for ReCore 2.

The reason why the loading is ridiculous is because they load every enemy (especially shifting sands) all over again in that area of the map. Instead of loading when you are in a good proximity and keeping track of which enemy died so you don't respawn them (which I've seen other games do) since it's still in a list of enemies. Unless the geometry just takes up a huge amount. #shrug

Great move. Trying the game will definitely lead to more people buying it.

I loved the game, and greatly recommend it.

Game's great everyone. I love it. Been having a blast. Trial is free, so I'm not sure why there's so much hesitation. Give it a shot and see if it fits the style of game you like to play. I highly recommend it.

I'll give it a try...I was super sold on the game and then after hearing all the negative press I got disinterested

Great idea. I have enjoyed every minute of Recore. I'm glad more people are going to have the opportunity to try it. 30mns will give you a good start to see how it runs and some aspects of the gameplay; but the game gets way better as you progress in the map.

Can confirm the loadtimes are alot better with the new patch.

Doubt it matters but are you using an S or an OG Xbox One?

The negative reaction to this game steered me away so I'm glad there's a trial available so I can check it out myself.

The funny thing is the negative reaction was mainly reviewers. I feel like most people who've played it really enjoy it who weren't reviewing it, no idea why that is.

I'm guessing if we were reviewing it it'd score lower also due to some technical issues, but in the end it's a ton of fun.

This is pretty cool, but 30 minutes is quite limited. Will give it a try on the Bone nevertheless. Hopefully I can skip every cutscene to maximize game time.

Never thought I'd see the day when Microsoft would have a demo that has a shorter shelf life than a Nintendo digital title.
