Red Dead Redemption 2 - New Screenshots

Uh, he's not wrong, your average guy has some hair on the back of their hand and leading up their fingers. There's not even hair near the wrist. His point is that there's nothing definitive about the character based on that shot.

Well i guess im not average then since i don't have any hair on the back of my hands... anyway i still think they wanted to tease first person mode with this.

Or what about the rings? can we find anything out about them? one has a lion symbol on it.

One thing is for sure it's not the supposed main protagonist since he doesn't wear any rings.

look at the details on the revolvers, maybe they released this rather odd screenshot to tease first person mode instead of a female character?

and about the shaving part i don't understand, do you have such hairy hands? :P looks pretty normal for a male hand to me

Even picking some less hairy hands, usually there's some, especially when they're the size of the moon:

I have to disagree, there are several proof pictures that show Rockstar put out bullshot pictures, especially in the wood parts where they showed lots of vegetation

and also this:

Top is final game, bottom is from trailer

Didn't the remaster look as good as that though? Or am I misremembering?

Confession time: I've never played a Rockstar game.

I intend to remedy that as soon as this comes out. Looks outstanding.

NEVER!?

If you don't have a 360/X1/PS3 get one of those and play Red Dead Redemption. Still an absolutely incredible game, seven(!) years later.

People calling these screenshots "soft"... meanwhile it looks like every damn blade of grass is sharply resolved at full size. LOL

The details on the knife, holster etc. are just incredible.

This guy has to be one of the main protagonists.

same guy?

I'd say we got our eyes on the main protagonist here. Appearing in multiple screenshots and in the trailer. Hat is identical with the rope wrapped around it that is torn up on the back. Might be an early visual of the character, similar the changes made to John Marston throughout development.

The city really looks like Armadillo, waiting for Herbert Moon to kill him like always.

That man is definitely one of the protagonists I feel, any word on what those ring symbols represent?

I swear that's a woman escorting the stage coach in the front.

Super excited for this. I don't mind the delay. Still a lot to play this year and I want to them to deliver on a good Red Dead game.

Yeah i think so too. At least one of them since it's rumored the game will feature a 3 protag system just like in GTAV.

I beleive the shot of him close up on the horse is in Blackwater. You can see a sign in the back left that looks like it says Blackwater if it wasn't blocked. And there was def a doctors office in Blackwater in the first game

I hope the presence of dual-wielding means they've taken cues from Max Payne 3 when it comes to gunplay.

man the wait continues. 1 whole year fuckkk

Yeah it sucks but at least they gave us a time window when to expect new details. This summer could mean E3 but i'm not holding my breath.

I'm hoping they've set it up where we can fire both guns at once, or press left/right on the d-pad to switch between them without reholstering.

I don't think the guy talking about the PS2 GTA "detail" meant graphic detail.

It is actually true that the old GTA games have a lot of detail, as in actual simulation of various "details". The sort of stuff like moving a car under a water geyser and see the water stop.

So it's also true that a game like Horizon has high graphic detail, but it's all relatively passive backdrop. You cannot do much with the environment beside walking through it. You can only interact with the "actors", like NPCs and creatures.

Do you know much shit has blown up around me while I've been running for my life from some of the morning powerful enemies? Lmao... The destructible environments in Horizon are no joke. Also, the graphic details are nuts.

The bar has been set and I'll be happy if Rockstar can somehow match it.

Kind of a mixed bag. Clothing texture quality looks bad. The outdoor stuff looks great -- very atmospheric, even if not as sharp as Horizon. I like the detail of stagecoaches leaving tracks in the mud, though the ground texture quality doesn't look great. The smoke on that steam locomotive looks fantastic though.

Glad to see we're not just in the badlands again; looks like northern California redwood forest in that one shot, so probably there's some Gold Rush narrative going on.
