Marketing and track record the past 3 years of overpromising and underdelivering would have a thing to do with that. Especially when you want to Daddy Warbucks the industry. Ask them to do better instead of making excuses.
To be fair, a games technical make up does not represent its quality. That being said, there's no excuse for them waiting till the 11th hour to announce this. My literal first post in the thread is saying that this is a dumb fucking move as well. It's pretty dumb of them to a/ not have a 60 FPS mode for a shooter and b/ not revealing this info earlier.

Don't delay the game. Who wants to play the game on 30FPS, play it on release. Who wants to play the game on 60FPS, wait for the patch. Problem solved!

No I'm not ignoring it. It was made clear it would be added in a post release patch. After a year delay why isn't it there at launch?
I mean what the hell is this, they put the price up for content to $70 which lets be honest has fuck all to do with quality and more about enticing more people to gamepass and they can't have a 60fps mode at launch on a first person shooter on what is supposedly the most powerful console for a game that was already delayed a year?

I can't see the difference between 60 and 120 but I definitely notice 30fps.

One of those games has untethered 4 player co-op, the other is single player with a mostly barren world.
But the point the user who brought up FS first was not comparing technical aspects, rather that the channel is someone who posts very heavy fanboy themed videos.

He only saw the game running on 'medium spec' PC builds according to himself, he hasn't seen the game running on consoles at all.
I saw the video he put out (don't start), and he said he only saw the PC version of the game in the preview event that happened in March.

Ah so he don't know anything as I assumed. They better not mess up the PC version too though, could be a historical flop, Cyberpunk at least had the relatively impressive PC version to fall back on when everybody on console were laughing at it.
A delay is still the best way forward here. They need to listen to the talk. This isn't even the usual console war negativity, this is just as much Xbox gamers being negative, including Colt which is usually a total shill.

I said I only watched it explicitly for the redfall thing lol, I don't have him on any social feeds nor do I want to.
According to the same video (GHG don't) he said he saw some of the previewers go into the game settings to lower them to get better performance as the default setups they had were not exactly running at a smooth performance on PCs.

And i haven't seen any discussion about what I FEEL could be the root of the problem:
Unreal Engine.
not because is a bad engine, but because if you want to really squeeze all its performance you need to have really geniuses at your studio (Sofware/Graphics engineers/Anime Programmers).
this is why is so important to have proprietary engines fine-tune to make the most for a specific hardware.

You made me think about what games I like that they've made, and there are only 4 - Arx Fatalis, Dark Messiah of Might and Magic, Dishonored 1, and the new Prey. Two of those are very old, and two are just old. They haven't made anything I've liked in 7 yrs.

Not sure about sense of all this fuzz. I mean everybody knows that PCs are superior to consoles, and average console gamers are no FPS freaks as vocal minority try to convince the community. Plus, console features are mainly tailored towards compatibility with TV technology, where 4K resolution is far more widespread than high framerate video. That is a simple reality check. Plus the fact that is not good for either console/pc business to provide 100% fluid and crisp gaming performance with high end graphics, because in a short while they would have nothing in pipeline.
Want to have 60 fps ultra - buy a capable PC, or stick to what console version give you. It was always this way, why everybody acting like Redfall is outlier all of the sudden?
