MindsEye is a scam project from A to Z. RedFall is just a failed project due to the GAAs trend and Bethesda's mismanagement. On paper, an Arkane vampire game was a dreamgame.

How was it a scam project? It needed more polish and dev time and it could have been a good game. That's a lot of work for a scam.

I always had zero interest in checking Redfall, despite my love for Arkane's previous games and despite having Game Pass at some point with an option to check it out 'for free'. Adding offline mode didn't change that as well, because I knew it would still feel like a coop game. I'd rather replay Dishonored or Prey again.
With MindsEye I will say I'm curious about experiencing the world and the story, but I'm going to pick it up when it's dirt cheap.

I played, and beat, redfall at launch. It wasn't great but I didn't feel like I wanted to drop it at any point. It was easy to cheese a lot of it using the cloak mechanic though, so maybe that helped.

Redfall had a shot at being a decent game. Terrible powers, AI and poor objectives in co op ruined it though.

But the art, atmosphere and premise was on point.

Mindseye just looked like they were throwing shit together and hoping the graphics and tech carried it.

Redfall developed by Arcane

Mindsyes developed by Build a Rocket boy ( SnoopWho.gif )

its pretty obvious who is the loser here.
Exactly. I don't hate myself enough to play either of these games, but in terms of "expectations vs reality" then clearly Redfall was worse.

MindsEye every day son.

Guys I'm telling you. Rent or grab it for cheap. Knock it out during a Saturday, have a some laughs and thank me later. It's a perfect Xmas time comedy, action adventure.

The scam is that MindsEye is supposedly created within Everywhere, a massive multiplayer tool game where users can create things like MindsEye. Pure vaporware, bc MsEye is just a mediocre UE5 game, not a game created with a tool called Everywhere. So it's a double scam: on the investors they deceived and on the users they tried to sell a GTA-like game to, who ended up playing this crap.

Game by game, Mind's Eye, it's a unfinished game even today and, truth be told, it is scam.

In commercial terms and expectations... Redfall, by a mile.

We had customized consoles and controllers using this game as a theme, it was officialy MS internal showcase and if we compare the latest releases for each console maker at the same timeframe we had:

- GOW Ragnarok by Sony
- Redfall by MS
- TOTK by Nintendo

It is not even a comparison in technical terms, Redfall initial state showed that the biggest software maker in the world does not give a crap about its own games.

So they were trying to use the game to promote a tool that it wasn't built with? Is that the gist?

Neither game is good, but Mindseye was unintentionally funny to play so I didn't mind it too much. Redfall I just didn't find fun to play.
