Nothing is confirmed or official, I watched ESPNEWS for like half an hour and this is all they were talking about. It certainly leads to something of interest and they need to do some investigating, but for the most part that referee has major credibility problems.

and yes, I agree with ninja on that there are terrible calls made all the time. sometimes the ref doesn't see what happens during the play, but what the result is, and they may have believed that bibby got in kobe's way somehow.

now, ninja, with all of this said, you must take back everything you've ever said about the true 2006 champions and admit that alonzo mourning is the greatest beast of all time.

and it's not the nba's fault zo had like 291832012 blocks in game 6 and terry shot 9-25.

I stopped caring about basketball after last years Suns Spurs Matchup when I decided it was rigged. So no more basketball for me after hearing this for sure..

i'm just tired of all the lazy thinking out there. there is a trend of awful officiating but it's not rigging. look at game 2 of the finals this year. it's really similar to game 5 of the 2006 finals. the team that barrel rolls into the paint more will get the calls. the lakers didn't even try to match the celtics' style on offense, and of course they got no calls. then last night in game 3, all the celtics did was play like pussies while the lakers willed their way into the paint. the lakers and kobe shot plenty of FT. coincidence? this has been happening for years. it's unfortunate that calls are made like that, but that's how it has always been.

but if you're on the losing side it's so easy to blame the league and the refs of course.
and wtf who would've thought heat and laker fans would ever be together

I just heard on the local sports talk radio station that Dick Bavetta was one of the Boston-Jersey game refs the night before the Kings-Lakers game, and that he was flown overnight immediately after that game to work the Sac-LA game. Why would you bother doing that when you have a whole pool of refs to use?
