I was talking to my girlfriend about this at the gym. It's a big question and one that's probably been gone over a lot here, but what has to happen in someones life to be like this? One of the "deplorables" online I guess would be a way to describe it. These people who lie, spread disinformation, laugh at the disabled, love gamergate, hate women, idolize Trump, the list goes on and on. They're all a part of the same community.
Like, I'm a 28 year old only child raised by a Mom who loved me and a Dad who just didn't care at all, but I grew up on the internet and message boards like a lot of these people probably did. But when I see how utterly evil they are I think they must have just been born this way, that no matter what may have happened to them in their life, it's not an excuse. There's just something missing there.

Mostly is because they know that even if they're banned, Gaf is all about second chances to shitheads so it will only be temporary and they'll be able to slith their away again soon until they fuckup or someone like TestOfTide takes the time to grab some receipts .

Loner types mostly. Social outcasts. They are lonely, bitter, and angry. They imagine if things were a certain way, specifically if other people were subjugated below them, their lives would be better. People would have to pay them respect, be with them, sleep with them, etc.

Which does point to US intel vetting this report.
Doesn't mean Cohen meeting didn't happen in a different location or different date (as the dossier points out timing and location of meeting not a good confidence level).
Could mean there was no Cohen meeting at all, but a lack of a Cohen meeting doesn't debunk the allegations in the rest of the report (although it sort of is the ultimate smoking gun of collusion that Trump would have known about).
Especially with BBC saying there are other sources corroborating the ex mi6 intel, and multiple sources saying there are multiple video and audio tapes of Trump's blackmail compromise material.
However, there are still alleged financial ties (payments going back and forth), or if the tapes come out, or if they can uncover any electronic or telephone communication between Trump/Trump staff and Russian officials detailing Russians directing Trump to do the things alleged in the dossier.

You can dislike Hillary and still remain in the realm of facts and reality, and have a civil conversation with someone else about the merits and drawbacks of your respective candidates.
If you're only invested in the cult of personality, not in Bernie's actual policy positions and his ability to leverage them through a Clinton presidency, then this is how you react.

This is something that cant be said enough.
It doesnt prove or disprove anything at this point, but once you get to a country thats part of the Schengen Agreement you can travel freely to any other country thats also part of it. Nobody will find a "crossed czechoslovakian border" stamp because it doesnt exist anymore.

the media in my country (Germany) mostly ignored this today. This thread on the other hand has already ~8500 posts in it (almost as important as the Scalebound cancellation! /s). I just can't really tell if it will have any noticeable impact on Trump's presendency or if it's all just wishful thinking

I'm a loner too. Very small circle of friends. Plenty of things that didn't go my way through life, and I was certainly bullied as a kid. But I grew out of that, became a grown up, and have empathy for human beings. Having empathy always seemed like a given to me, but the last year has shown me it flat out doesn't exist and is actively looked down on by people who may have had very similar upbringings to me. And that's what's so depressing.

Edit: Between assuming that everybody with a more conservative opinion is just someone from that Voat board with an alt account and the assumption that everybody who's not sold on the Trump/Russia shit is just a paid Russian troll, NeoGAF is getting very difficult and annoying to navigate in recent weeks.
