That statement alone, offended enough users to result in a ban.
Pretty puny excuse for a ban if you ask me.
I bet lots of users there are offended by the mod’s complete lack of logic or fairness. They wish being offended was enough to get rid of some asshole moderators.
Even a billionaire like Oprah was treated like a common criminal because of her race when shopping in Switzerland. She has more money than just about every woman on the planet, yet these shopkeepers refused to sell her one of their items because she looked like she couldn’t afford it.
Millionaire athletes who happen to be black are pulled over at gunpoint and suspected of stealing the luxury vehicles they’re driving.
Renowned academics at Harvard are escorted out of their own homes after being accused by neighbors of burglarizing the property.
That’s prejudice dude, not oppression. Oprah would just have to flash her cash to be treated like a queen, and she could probably have a clerk or two fired if she so desired. A person truly oppressed by systematic racism would be denied service in spite of their wealth, just because of skin color.
Millionaire athletes may be subject to prejudice from time to time. They’re still rich as fuck, and they are an inspiration for millions of people of all colors. Can you say they’re oppressed? Cuz you’d be lyin’, ya know.
One friend of my father is slightly dark-skinned with jet-black hair, and years ago he used to wear a ponytail. He was pulled over by the police a number of times because he looked like the stereotypical South American drug dealer. Was he oppressed? No dude, he just had to go through these minor inconveniences. He was still wealthy, and never went to jail.
Conflating prejudice with oppression is a victim’s trick. Be better than that.
