Acknowledging Asexuality has to be peak narcissism.
You want a gold star...for not fucking.
And to worry about Acephobia? Who in their right mind has ever faced more then the common person say "What?!..well, that's odd. Welp, more sex for me then!"
Yes, the plight of the Asexual. "Back of the bus non-fucker!"
Are we gonna start labeling people and giving gold stars if they enjoy certain sex acts? Fuck it, I'm Hetrosexual with a heavy emphasis on BeingBlownSexual.
Let's just incorporate everything while were at it involving our gentials. I'm also 'RandomBonerOnTheBusSexual'.
'HaveToTakeAPissBonerSexual'
Since Asexuals arent into sex I guess we can incorporate are 'not into it's sexual things?
I guess I'm also 'NotAFanOfGapingButtholePorn' sexual.
We are at the pinnacle of narcissism for what we do with are naughty-bits and what we dont do.
It looks more like an attempt to "appropriate" the actual struggles of actually oppressed minorities.
Historically speaking (and even in some parts of the world today) homosexual man have gotten an EXTREMELY raw deal from society.
To compare that to asexuals or whatever is, in my mind, extremely poor form.
Going back through the years if you were asexual then probably people just looked at you thinking "poor cunt can't find a good husband/wife".
Gay lads were literally criminalized, chased out of town, beaten, murdered.
Fast forward to 2019 and most people are fine with it. Same sex couples can get married. They are not fully accepted everywhere but things are a hell of a lot better than they were. It's becoming less and less controversial to "come out" etc.
You can kind of understand how someone who was maybe legitimately afraid to come out as gay would be pissed off at these kids "coming out" as asexual. Like, you are just saying "I don't want to fuck anyone". It's not a big announcement. It really doesn't even need to be said.
the only time I can think it would be relevant is if you are maybe building a good relationship with someone and they are obviously thinking romance is on the cards and you have to say "actually I am asexual" but that's it really. There is no particular need to announce it to everyone you know etc.
It's definitely not an oppressed class. Certainly not in the way that people under the LGBTQ umbrella are oppressed.
