I have this theory that the vocal segment is the type that want perpetual drama/conflict with no solutions in site. They honestly don't know what their "we made it!" condition is. They find constantly railing against something to be cathartic and coupled with the relative anonymity of the internet, gives them a degree of power they lack in their real lives. They tackle what they consider to be the easy targets within their group and when that loses its emotional punch, turns inward. They don't want positive change or persuding people in discussion. That's why they can't stand being opposed or debated. It's never truly about the specific points. It's about the power. They want drama and they want the illusion of power over others. And they do this under the guise of a video game forum along with other places.

They've been unable to define the rules of their own "safe spaces" or the ranking of their own oppression heirarchy, something the cult has been asked to do for years from multiple voices across multiple hobbies in multiple situations. They refuse. They never sit down and hammer out the confines of their activism. It's also why "everything is political", because they do not see any venue as off-limits for preaching.

It looks more like an attempt to "appropriate" the actual struggles of actually oppressed minorities.

Historically speaking (and even in some parts of the world today) homosexual man have gotten an EXTREMELY raw deal from society.
To compare that to asexuals or whatever is, in my mind, extremely poor form.
Going back through the years if you were asexual then probably people just looked at you thinking "poor cunt can't find a good husband/wife".
Gay lads were literally criminalized, chased out of town, beaten, murdered.

Fast forward to 2019 and most people are fine with it. Same sex couples can get married. They are not fully accepted everywhere but things are a hell of a lot better than they were. It's becoming less and less controversial to "come out" etc.

You can kind of understand how someone who was maybe legitimately afraid to come out as gay would be pissed off at these kids "coming out" as asexual. Like, you are just saying "I don't want to fuck anyone". It's not a big announcement. It really doesn't even need to be said.

the only time I can think it would be relevant is if you are maybe building a good relationship with someone and they are obviously thinking romance is on the cards and you have to say "actually I am asexual" but that's it really. There is no particular need to announce it to everyone you know etc.

It's definitely not an oppressed class. Certainly not in the way that people under the LGBTQ umbrella are oppressed.

Yeah, it's completely irrelevant.

The only situation where it might become relevant is when they have to "friendzone" someone who legitimately wants to bang them.
Otherwise most people might as well be asexual from your own personal perspective.

There's no real oppression involved.

For gay guys a big worry would be that first of all if you are "outed" then you might be shoved out of social circles etc. An even bigger worry would be that people will want to do you harm. In terms of forming relationships it must be daunting to have to "come out" to the person you are interested in without knowing if they are also into dudes.

What is the asexual equivalent of that? Some woman tries to chat you up and asks if you want to go back to her place and you just say "no"?
To some extent you wouldn't really ever need to tell anyone you are asexual since you could just get away with "I'm not interested".

I guess on ReetardEra this is seen as "acephobia" but I think it's a legitimate point to make.
If you define yourself as someone who just isn't into sex at all then what's the big issues that you could face because of that?
