That's one hell of a name to have in your steam library.
Regular price, also no mention of preorder goods or a deluxe edition with the season pass.
It did just go up so those things might be added within the hour. Also I still say that the banner change is reflecting that the final box art will be this logo rather than the little girl from prior box arts.

So will it be called Biohazard: Resident Evil in Japan?

Yes.

FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCCCCCCCCCCCKKKKKKK

For some reason I swore RE games were console exclusives when first released. Like it was a few months at least before they hit PC.
In an effort to take advantage of that spend $100 get $15 PSN promotion I picked up TF2 and preordered RE7, as I will be playing it no matter what.

Would have absolutely preferred the PC version, especially since it is now an FPS.

Damn. Oh well.

I'll wait until the Digital Deluxe Edition gets pre-orderable. It's just the main game+dlc, but I'm interested in the DLC.

(for those not in the loop, all the DLC for RE7 has already been confirmed, there will be three pieces of DLC, the first will be four short playable stories (I'm guessing like VHS segments), and then two additional chapters, all of these will be released after the main game is released). I know many people will be all, "grrr DLC," but I actually have faith in Capcom with additional chapter DLC (and thought RE5's DLC chapters and Revelations 2 chapters didn't feel cut from the main game so much and were fun).

I haven't followed this at all. I see no coop badge on the Steam page.
Too early or not happening?

Single-player only, which surprised a lot of people. They're taking some risks with this one and its new direction. It's been confirmed there's no online component or local multiplayer in RE7 at all, single-player only.

Well, that's a risk alright, I already know that they won't sell 2 copies they would have sold otherwise :P
Thanks for the update.

Considering how well the coop games sold, I feel like they'll go back to that formula in some form. Revelations was a bit of an oddity with it's coop and not playable online. Though the second player in that game kinda gets boned.

I love how they incorporated the 7 / VII in both logos.

They did.

I think it's some of the most clever logo/numbering system I've seen in some while.

What even is this game?

7th entry in the Resident Evil series. Here's the last big gameplay trailer from Tokyo Game Show: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-pp8iUILmns

A cross between RE1 and Alien Isolation from the sounds of it, looks good based on the small amounts they've shown

I know people will make the Alien Isolation/Outlast/P.T./such comparisions, but RE7 still out of any first-person horror game it could be compared to reminds me the most of Condemned right now.

Still between ORC, RE5, and RE6 That's like 15 million copies of coop games.
I don't think you can entirely ignore that as a company, even if your newest mainline game forgoes it.

That is true since those were Action Horror games. RE7 is a return to the original formula of the franchise. Survival Horror games and co-op just doesn't fit together imo.

Steam don't open at work, have they put up system requirements too ?

System Requirements

MINIMUM:
OS: WINDOWS 7,8,8.1,10 (64-BIT Required)
Memory: 8 GB RAM
DirectX: Version 11
Additional Notes: Hardware specification target 1080P/30FPS. *Internet connection required for game activation. The game is still undergoing development, so all PC requirements are subject to change.

RECOMMENDED:

DirectX: Version 11
Additional Notes: Hardware specification target 1080P/60FPS. *Internet connection required for game activation. The game is still undergoing development, so all PC requirements are subject to change.

That's one hell of a name to have in your steam library.

So it will be:
Resident Evil / biohazard HD REMASTER
Resident Evil 0 / biohazard 0 HD REMASTER
resident evil 4 / biohazard 4
Resident Evil 5 / Biohazard 5
Resident Evil 6 / Biohazard 6
Resident Evil 7 biohazard / BIOHAZARD 7 resident evil
Resident Evil Revelations / Biohazard Revelations
Resident Evil Revelations 2 / Biohazard Revelations 2

(love the inconsistency in uppercase/lowercase/camelcase between various titles)

Please be good....

Haven't played the demos and haven't really followed the buzz...but how is it shaping up?

Here's some short videos they've been releasing weekly which show small snippets of gameplay mechanics:

Valve really needs to allow developers/publishers to set region-specific app names. I'm hoping the ability to set language-specific capsule/header images is a step towards that. E.g.:

Capcom PC ports are almost always good. It's the release date part they consistently fuck up. Hope it's same day as consoles or else it'll be pushed to the sale bin.

It's Janaury 24th for Xbox One, PS4, & PC, except in Asian territories where it releases on January 26th.

I still need to beat Rev1, 6 and Rev 2 before getting 7 =/

Well you do have a bit less than 3 months before then, can do it if you play them.

Looking forward to this, what they've shown so far is very interesting.

It appears to be going to back to the roots of the earlier games and is really pushing for that survival horror feel.

Preorder Bonus up

Lightly confirms the other green bottle is just a bigger health container like suspected from the previous herb combining video. These were going to be the pre-order bonuses all along as we knew, but nice to add to the page.
