Ummm, I'd like that also but I feel a cheeky 88/89 is inbound, which would put it a nats wing above R2 which would mean that with every iteration of the franchise they've received a higher score.

That would mean it is the lowest ranked of the all three games, do you really expect that?, Remember RFoM got 86 on Metercritic, and R2 got 87.

God RFoM deserved a lot more than that :-(

I was thinking the same, how R2 bested RFoM is unbelievable but from reading the reviews the press seemed to of loved the MP aspects of R2 which helped bolster the score considerably, I think the press were way to hard on RFoM but I partly blame Sony for that tbh becuase we was still on a fresh comedown from their hype machine.

It all comes down to the motion blur. I hate it in screenshots, but it's great in motion.

Huh?I dont think you been following the game.

I thought the general hype for R3 is rather low? it's not until the beefy preview code where I start seeing positive impression and hype for it, but even then, people bring up R2 and subHD resolution to knock it down a notch. even the multiplayer beta didn't look like it generating much hype, at least not as hyped as R2. hype for R2 is big, 3 separate mode, colors, etc.

I want a great single player experience out of this game. I'll never touch the multi. I really enjoyed Resistance 1 on that front, but I could only make it through a fraction of R2's campaign.

There was a mini-shitstorm about this when the game launched, from both gamers and certain podcasts.

The game review industry has been basically broken for years. Personally, that's why I rely on GAF to get good info. At least I know how to separate bias from fact here. Pro reviews, no idea what kind of money or bias is floating around.

This is the reason:

reviews depends on when our Day 1 Patch, and thus the Online Pass (which can't get cleared for the store until the patch is cleared) are done and in the store so reviewers can download and play. Whee! We're trying to get them up ahead of launch, but it's always fun trying to coordinate globally while locking down the Day 1 patch and such.

The eight player coop alone made resistance 2 an amazing game. I'm really bummed they pulled it from 3.


But I am quite pleased with the beta. I assume it will be 8.5’d by most places.
