He's short-sighted and not very smart.
There are rumours and conjectures floating everywhere.
One of the main ones is that it somehow involves the missing girl from earlier this year. Police were tracking Lisi to the house the girl lived and disappeared from.
All conjecture based off of the little info not redacted from the document.

Crack smoking honestly isn't the worst of it. It's poor judgment, of course, and it's comical, but it's not something that hypothetically disqualifies someone from being mayor on a one-off basis. Of course firing your qualified long-time chief of staff for expressing his concerns about your substance abuse (along with anyone else who dares questioning you), hiring manifestly unqualified recent graduates or cronies from your high school to be your core staff, showing up at work drunk, using homophobic and racist obscenities, throwing your phone at staffers, having tons of ongoing social contacts who are involved in organized gun-running and drugs, potentially drunk driving while under police surveillance, having the person you contact most in life be your drug dealer who you call 5 times a day and spend most days with go and extort your former drug friends and threaten them with a pipe, lying about all of this, running a smear campaign against people who are telling the truth, giving non-apology apologies for the most benign of all of this while ignoring all the other stuff...
... I mean at least something in that list probably suggests someone isn't equipped to be mayor.

This is the rub. This crack smoking shit is just another pancake on the Rob Ford should be fired stack. Even disregarding this event and everything you've mentioned, there's also the terrible city planning motions he's either passed or tried to get passed, including overstepping his boundaries when he cancelled a major transit project. Even disregarding that, there's his corruptive practice of cancelling city contracts to print shit for his office and hiring his own family's business to do it at quadruple the cost. Disregarding that, there's his penchant for not showing up to work until noon and taking off at 3PM to coach football. And disregarding all of that there's still the fact that even before we elected him as mayor we already knew he was a homophobic, sexist, racist, drunk driving, wife beating piece of shit.

I saw Ford's lawyer on CP24 earlier and he really didn't seem that bright.
Ford's lawyer will have access to the police documents if and when he is charged with an offence.

Just so I don't have to read this entire thread or sift through the million news articles written about Forb Ford... what did he do other than smoke crack cocaine and lie about it? Because if that's all he did, fuck this planet for throwing such a hissy fit over this.
I completely agree with Anderson here, but why is it that in every rape thread on GAF, everyone argues the opposite? I've read too many times on this forum that even one drink means consent is not valid as you are not in the best state of mind to make a decision like having sex, so by that logic maybe being drunk is an excuse. Just something to think about...

I think the key point is that maybe Ford shouldn't have gotten drunk in the first place.

He also used government letter head and his office staffers to work on his personal charity (misusing public funds), he's been photographed reading while driving, dumping liquor bottles outside his car, urinating in public, wrote a letter or recommendation for a convicted felon that he hired as a driver. The driver then was being investigated, and phone records show the driver phoning a drug dealer, the mayor, then the drug dealer in a short period. One of the young men he was photographed with (in front of a crack house that Ford pays utilities on) was murdered, the other was thrown off a balcony. Ford was overheard by a staffer as knowing the location of the crack video, and the apartment Ford listed had a "shooting incident" occur at it shortly after. He was pulled over for a DUI and pot possession in Florida. He's been drunk in public multiple times. He groped another councillor. He constantly lies about having saved the city a billion dollars, despite costing the city tens in millions in cancelled transit contracts. He has left many many council meetings mid session to coach high school football.
He's a fucking disaster.
