Either way, immigrant or no immigrant, Ford won every demographic except undergrad graduates and above and the super wealthy, so it's a meaningless argument. The 'Toronto is racist' shtick doesn't really hold.

The two videos that Toronto police say they have seized in relation to their investigation of Toronto Mayor Rob Ford contain footage of the same event -- the mayor allegedly smoking crack -- an assistant Crown attorney told Ontario Superior Court Tuesday.

At a hearing before Justice Ian Nordheimer, where an accused drug dealer is arguing that he should be allowed to see the video because he has been so closely linked to its creation, the judge questioned a prosecutor about what was on the video.

That assistant Crown attorney, Grace Hession David, described one video as a "subset" of the other video, and said that the longer version is about 90 seconds.

Police Chief Bill Blair announced last week of the existence of a second video and said it was also “relevant” to the Ford investigation.

Shortly after the debate began, Coun. Denzil Minnan-Wong accused Ford, his one-time ally, of trying to physically intimidate him.

After Minnan-Wong and Ford stood face-to-face on the floor of the chamber, Minnan-Wong returned to his seat and told council the mayor blocked his path to his chair and "ordered" him to sit down.

"He stood in my way and blocked my path in a threatening way, in a way that I have never experienced in my time on council," Minnan-Wong said.

Minnan-Wong asked Speaker Frances Nunziata to ask Ford to apologize, but she ordered a five-minute recess to calm things down amid jeers from council members and people in the packed gallery.

When the meeting resumed, Ford denied threatening Minnan-Wong, saying he politely asked Minnan-Wong to take his seat while the councillor stood at the city clerk's desk because councillors were asking questions of city staff.

"I did not threaten him in any way, shape or form," Ford said. "I said, 'Councillor, please take your seat.'"

Ford refused to apologize and the debate eventually continued.
