I've never once had a scammer try it on. Of course you get lowballers sometimes too, but it really depends what you're selling and if the price you ask is realistic.

I was Rising Star and I fell down to Challenger 3. I can't climb out of this pit.

Anyone from the west coast? I play around 9-11pm. I'm fed up with having shitty teammates, lost so many times I think I'm back down to Prospect I I'm not that good but I can hold my own.
Thought I'd never buy keys...bought 5 last night, opened 3 cc3 crates and got shitty decals. FML

I'm on the West Coast and play on PSN (MistoPixo). I play in the evenings on most weekdays and lots more during the weekend.

Opened up my first C3 crate and was genuinely excited about getting the (base level) Rare decal Masamune: Oni. My kids were excited, too. Not only does Oni look cool, it's so much better than the default Masamune decals.
Now if I had come up with that Dominus: Mondo decal, I would have been a little disappointed. But if I do get it, it's kind of goofily fun and I'd give it to my daughter who loves that stuff.
All in all, I think the decals are better in C3 than the other crates. Even Distortion looks better on Takumi than Octane (in my opinion). And some think the boosts are better (it's arguable). However, I don't think the wheels are quite as good as C1's, and there's only one import car.
In time, I think it will be C1>C3>C2 if only for the fact that C1 has two of the best cars. Right now crate values are roughly 1 C3 = 2 C1 = 4 C2. Eventually, I think it will be 1 C3 = 1 C1 = 2 C2. It's all very fluid, though. We'll see how long until C4 comes out.

I really need to get that Type S. I think Breakout is super ugly but it turns out I'm unusually good with it. My accuracy is way up, same with car control. Even achieved my personal goal of scoring a freestyle from reversing finally.

Saffron's I got swapping my crimson loopers before the patch, but the purples were a great price. 14 keys and a painted topper. Heatwave was my first crate with the rumble launch.

So I got so fed up with Solo Standard and the salty and sarcastic comments--especially from teammates--that I completely muted chat when I go on that playlist. And it's worked wonders! I can focus on the game and my play has improved a lot. I'm like the silent assassin. That said, I miss the chat, so I still use it in Doubles (where it's almost required, at least team chat) and Standard.

It's got a nice height but the turning circle fucking kills me man.
I've seen like 10 people at rising star in OCE using it before, tho I don't know if it's their regular car
I have a good teammate(T1) with whom I got to Callenger Elite/Rising Star back then. I got dragged down by another friend who hasn't played the game for a while. Since then I'm playing with Randoms and a new teammate from time to time. I'm currently only playing Rumble with T1.
Was my jam until DLC cars came out and I just cycled through them as they hit.
Backfire my favorite OG by far though. A racoon tail antenna will 100% make me return to maining Backfire.

Turned my Purple Lightning into Lime Lightning at no extra cost. So these are kind of better with the wheels showing up a lot more during play but there's not much in the way of green shades that match for the body. So far it seems to blend best with a lime body from the team colors and saffron for the secondary since it's somewhere between the two.
I'm starting to debate just trading these for Sky Blue and having done with. I REALLY like the lightning wheels, but half the time the shades are off and the other half just aren't very bright. I'm actually a little surprised that pink is so popular considering they practically look white.

I don't get it. I play 2on2 with a friend and we win/dominate most of the time and rarely lose. I play solo and have had losing streaks of 6 and 8 ... It does not make any sense
3v3 you grow increasingly reliant on your teammates to keep the pressure up and introduce scoring opportunities. It's much easier to maintain possession of the ball in a 2v2 and to fall back on defense when there's an attack. Playing solo is often playing roulette when it comes to the quality and skill of your teammates.

Playing with someone you know is a HUGE advantage. Even if they suck, at least you are familiar with them. You know what they can and can't do before the match even starts and if / when they screw up you are less likely get tilted by it cuz you're buds
The hardest part of solo play is having no idea what your teammates are capable of, let alone what they are going to do in a given situation. If I play with someone I know or get competent teammates I rarely lose because I can play loose and do whatever my job is at the time, knowing my teammates will be in the right place / have my back.
With randoms, there is zero familiarity, which impacts your play style. You play tighter. If your teammate/s are at least good at SOMETHING (offense vs defense) you can adjust and complement their play. But if they flat out suck, you are only as a good as your weakest link, and no matter how good you are your odds of winning go down.

Definitely agree with this and what spindoc posted. You have to complement your teammates playing style in doubles. 3v3 you can hang back or ball chase and it still might not matter if you have at least one person good enough to carry you or at least complement your game.
In doubles, it's essential that you not play the same exact style as your teammate. It's a recipe for disaster. In my opinion, there are three basic roles: defender, facilitator, and striker. And sometimes, perhaps ideally (it's arguable), 3s teams will have a balance of these. But you can't do that in doubles. You have to have more than one role. Then there's three different speeds: conservative, moderate, and aggressive. The combination of the two determine your play style. You can't just be an aggressive striker in doubles and not pay attention to the other parts of the game.
So let's say you're an aggressive striker and defender. Well, if you and your teammate are the same, you'll both be going for the same balls on both ends with abandon. That's not going to work. I see ragequits and early forfeit votes in this team's future. Similar thing if you were both conservative facilitators. You'd both spend a lot of time trying to set up a play but neither person would follow through with the strike quickly enough. And eventually, you'd lose like 2-1 with both being long goals over your head.
So, determine what play styles suit you best. (You need to have more than one.) Then use the one that best complements your teammate. Sometimes it takes a minute or two to figure that out. And that's where the real advantage is for people that have played together before. They've already figured it out, even if they may not be a particularly good team.
One final tip. Although you want to complement your teammate, if you want to win consistently you don't want to be opposites. Striker/Facilitator and Defender/Facilitator as a team is fine in theory, but not if that striker/facilitator is aggressive and the defender/facilitator is conservative. It would be frustrating for both players. It's best to combine aggressive with moderate or moderate with conservative.
You can also have both people play at the same speed (for example, both aggressive) but you need to make sure the roles you're emphasizing are different and you have good rapport with your teammate. Otherwise, you'll end up running into each other, leaving gaping holes on the field.
TL;DR: If you play the same role, you'll end up on top of each other. If you play different roles but the same speed, you may end up running into each other so take care and read your teammate. You need to complement each other. Three roles (which still need to be covered by two people in doubles): defender, facilitator, striker. Three speeds: conservative, moderate, aggressive. The combination of the two determines your basic play style.
I'm getting a really weird ghosting issue since I upgraded my monitor and I can't figure out what's causing it. I've tried dropping frames back to 60, I've tried disabling G-Sync. Still happens. Anyone got an idea?

Serious lowballing, people probably thought it was a troll thread. I don't mean to sound rude either it's just that's way below value. Painted wheels are closer to the 20 keys mark with many going for above that such as pink and sky blue lightning, Dominus is cheaper but it's still worth a lot more than a few crates. If they were CC3 you could have sold them for keys and bought a Dominus likely or maybe even got a direct swap in the first day or two. With that said, the subreddit is really slowing down. I hardly even got any offers when trading Purple Lightning. Steam trading thread seems to be the place moving faster, just you need your wits about you since way more people lowballing etc.

My bud is a allstar in most ranks.
Were just looking for a 3rd around our skill range that can rotate well and play off of us.
My friend is mostly a moderate defender/striker. Hes got the dribble skills on ground and air dribbles.
and im more of an aggressive facilitator/striker. I set up my teammates for days and will dunk anything you throw in front of the net.
But we both play cautiously and are constantly rotating. We havent been able to find a 3rd with the skills and who knows how to rotate and place themselves.
We dont use voice 80% of the time and usually play most nights around 7pm to midnight PST. Not every night, and not that many hours, thats just our usual timetable where we would be on.
Send me a PM if you wanna roll with us. Were not serious players and just joke around and have fun. Were not doing tournaments or anything, just playing having fun. As long as you can hang and not get too serious it should be fun. Were just looking for someone who can complement the team. Even if you are lower like gold elite or something, if you think you can hang msg me. Couldnt hurt to maybe find a good static team.

My biggest problem in nearly all of the games is my skill adaptation if you can call it that. Most of the time, if my teammates suck I suck as well. If my teammates are good I play well. Same with my opponents. There are some matches I can dominate weaker ones, but in most cases I drop down to their level of play.

Depending on the rim type and color you can easily buy some keys and get exactly what you want. Opening cases for painted wheels is a huge gamble. By Dominus upgrades i'm guessing you meant dom gt? Also cheap to purchase with keys right now. The gamble simply isn't worth it. What platform and what are you looking for exactly?
