Rocksmith 2014 Remastered (Yes, they are still releasing DLC for it)

Round Three!

Vote for the best Rocksmith DLC of 2019!

Rocksmith confirms work on "New Project" announces end of DLC support for Rocksmith Remastered

Will the next Rocksmith project be shown at UbiForward in July? Fingers crossed!

Did you know you can get 52 songs from Rocksmith in Rocksmith 2014 Remastered? Here's everything you need to know!

Shane Gann returns to Ubisoft to work on the future title (which is probably a sequel to Rocksmith)

Things I want in a RS sequel: Online multi (not sure how they'll figure this out but the way I see it is you can maybe see the other players performance but not necessarily hear it and basically it's just a communal addition that sort of simulates couch co-op) and perhaps support for keyboard which seems more practical than like drums, but if they can figure out drums. Cool. The only other addition I can think of for beginning players is figuring out how to make more theory related content.

Otherwise I don't see much room for improvement vs. Remastered.

I'd love for them to include fret numbers on the lines. It's the hardest thing adjusting between tabs and rocksmith.

What are some controversial moments in the almost 9 year history of Rocksmith? We take a look at a few...

I hope they make a PS5 version of Rocksmith. I am not good at it but it is fun to play now and again.

There may have not been a Rocksmith announcement on #UbiForward but there's definitely something happening

Rocksmith Community members have added some new features to Rocksmith 2014 Remastered, including activating a Direct Connect option

I'm not understanding the Direct Connect thing. Isn't this the unofficial cable patch? Or is it something different entirely? It seems to be the same use case but perhaps someone found something semi-official but disabled within the game's configuration files?

You got it, it's an official implementation of No Cable that they removed (with the Remastered (Mic Mode/Disconnected Mode patch) but the modding community unearthed it.

It's basically Microphone Mode on PC/Mac with all the tone/amp modelling.

So did they ever announce a new game?
Not yet. Both previous Rocksmith games were announced less than a year before they released, and it wasn't that long ago they pulled their DLC teams to start working on the new project so we probably still have a little bit longer to wait

Finally got around to buying the cable and 2014 remastered. Not played guitar for a while but hopefully I wont get frustrated by my incompetence.

Does the DLC go on sale often? Steam.

DLC goes on sale pretty frequently to like $1.79 I think. I grab the occasional official track when that happens. Next time I'll grab the first game and the import tool.

Looks like next sale is October 29th

Good chance all the DLC will be discounted

Next time I'll grab the first game and the import tool.

For those unaware you can import 52/57 songs to Rocksmith 2014 if you purchase RS1

Do yall think there's a realistic possibility they will support keyboards? I'm hoping so, but I think it's a lot less likely for people to have room for or access to a keyboard. Also, there's not necessarily all that many good guitar songs that are also good piano songs, so every song wouldn't be useful for every player.

I really hope so though. I can't play my guitar anymore because my wrist gets injured within 40 minutes of playing or so. I have a few health problems and my left wrist can't take it anymore.

I think that this game is wound down unfortunately - maybe something else is out there, didn't Rock Band 3 support that in pro mode?

It does, Rock Band 3 has accurate keyboard/piano parts where applicable, and if you can get your hands on the MIDI Adapter then you can plug in any synth or keyboard you have, Rocksmith style.
Great game, sounds exactly like what BigBooper BigBooper is looking for

Rocksmith has a speed up mod now, if you are interested in that sort of thing

Rest

All these years later I still chuckle at what a fucking moron that guy is.
Does anyone know which dev stream it was where they played the clicks at two speeds, and sped them up until they became pitches? I need a link.
