I am a writer, sometimes i write something and if i don't have money for self publishing i search for a publisher to paid for the impression, distribution and marketing and sometimes someone paid me to write something. Publisher doesn't equal to paid for the development. What do you think publishing is?!?
Yes, it's Nintendo's IP
I don't think it's fun playing solo. Even when you've leveled up to 7-8 and found great weapons, the bosses are difficult. You die and you're done, unless you have a Wending Grace, which revives you at 50% hp and eventually regens you to 100%.Is it fun actually playing Nightreign solo?
The thing I like about Elden Ring and most FROM's Souls series is take my time and explore but with Nightreign is all about rushing through levels to find weapons then fight the boss then your level will reset and you have do it all over again with another boss.....its basically roguelike mechanic which I really dont like.
In gaming it does, even if only partially, 95% of the time.I am a writer, sometimes i write something and if i don't have money for self publishing i search for a publisher to paid for the impression, distribution and marketing and sometimes someone paid me to write something. Actually that's not true…In gaming it does, even if only partially, 95% of the time.
We also have MANY other coloful RPGs out there, so what wrong for FROM making Dark fantasy RPGs?FROM games are plodding, dreary, and depressing. There I said it.
From owns the IP, like Platinum owns the Bayonetta IP, but Nintendo funded 2 and 3… So is a Nintendo decision to launch those games on another consoles, but if Platinum makes Bayonetta 4 with their money they can go multi platform if they want.If Nintendo own Duslboolds IP then sure if not then its no guarantee its going stay exclusives.....the reason game like Astral Chain stayed exclusive because actually owns the IP.
Sony other hand owns both Demons Souls and Bloodborne IP which they will stay exclusives. In fact FROM tried to make sequel to Demons Souls but Sony wouldn't let them release it to other platforms so they made Dark Souls.
"For AAA games, publishing contracts with no funding are effectively nonexistent. Funding is a core part of the deal, given the high costs and risks involved."Actually that's not true…
The reason Boyonetta 2&3 was funded by Nintendo because Platinum tried bring to Sony and Microsoft but they refuse to funded. From owns the IP, like Platinum owns the Bayonetta IP, but Nintendo funded 2 and 3… So is a Nintendo decision to launch those games on another consoles, but if Platinum makes Bayonetta 4 with their money they can go multi platform if they want.
I am talking about the development, you are confused. Also, publishing cost a lot of money, so there is a risk involved and is an investment (funding)."For AAA games, publishing contracts with no funding are effectively nonexistent. Funding is a core part of the deal, given the high costs and risks involved."
From my research only about 20% of indie games look for no-funding deals.
Kamiya said once in twitter that Bayonetta 2 exists is thanks to Nintendo… And the person that made the question was blocked after thatThe reason Boyonetta 2&3 was funded by Nintendo because Platinum tried bring to Sony and Microsoft but they refuse to funded.
Yeah bosses in that game were design around having multiple characters and if you dies is not you retry immediately.....you have to go all the way back do the run all over again which to me its not fun.I don't think it's fun playing solo. Thats no secret, Platinum tried to bring Bayonetta 2 to other platforms but they refused while Nintendo was more than happy to help them out.Kamiya said once in twitter that Bayonetta 2 exists is thanks to Nintendo… And the person that made the question was blocked after that.
Lucky for you, no one forces you to play From games.FROM games are plodding, dreary, and depressing. There I said it.
We've had this discussion once before. You would not like it because it requires you to learn the map over many deaths and plan out your runs to level up, acquire gear suited to that character and tackle not just the mid boss but the Nightlord bosses as well. After a few patches it's slightly easier. Given the more accessible revives. Is it fun actually playing Nightreign solo?

Which is pointless since it is a multiplayer game...
Thats my point and that to me it just not fun....I have recently been replaying Dark Souls Remastered and just love the level design I love exploring, discovering shortcuts and finding rare treasure while overcoming obstacles. We've had this discussion once before. It gets to a point where most of your runs tend to be the same because you go for very specific powerups. It's very Arcade-like. Much like Sekiro you have great mobility and no fall damage. Hard to ever return to DS Trilogy or ER because of that.
For exploring I'd stick with the pure SP games. Nightreign is very zoom zoom all the time. It's Risk of Nightreign. Very much a Action Roguelite centered around Relic farming.
Iwata name only appears in the Nintendo port of those games… you don't understand how things works… Nintendo didn't paid for the development of those gamesSome second party Nintendo games became multiplaform titles:
We know FromSoft owns the Duskbloods IP so it's not out of the realm of posibility it comes out elsewhere sometime.
- The Wonderful 101 (Executive producer: Satoru Iwata)
- LEGO City: undercover (Executive producer: Satoru Iwata)
- Devil's Third (Executive producer: Satoru Iwata) (just the multiplayer mode became its own PC game)
- Fatal Frame 4 Mask of the Lunar Eclipse (IP was co-owned by Nintendo at the time)
- Fatal Frame V: Maiden of Blackwater (IP was co-owned by Nintendo at the time)
That being said, all the titles avobe were considerable sales flops, but this also could happen to this game since it deflated really fast after its introduction when it was revealed it was multiplayer only.
If Nintendo intended for DuskBloods to be 100% exclusive they would get 100% ownership of the IP like they did with Astral Chain but since development started in 2019 that hasn't happened. It may happen later, though (as it did with Astral Chain).
Wasted on that trash console.

WrongWe know the specs of the Switch 2 .
For 8 players + enemies at 60fps you get ps2/ps3 graphics, at 30fps you get ps3/Ps4 graphics.
FromSoftware is the last developer you can expect technical miracles.
Power never leads. And as always is comes down to POWER.
well that according to posters here.Power never leads.
And more prototype time only means they're trying to make new stuff work. That means more vectors for failture.News flash, more time in development does not mean better game.
GTA's 100% getting bumped to 2027.2026 is already fucking stacked!
We don't need GTA6 for a stacked year.GTA's 100% getting bumped to 2027.
I do remember the FromSoft nags to go online.I completely disagree with that. What people remember from Dark Souls is level design, boss fights and atmosphere….not PVP.
Wrong again… Do you really believe that Nintendo is going to paid for something and let the devs port the game to others platforms and they are not going to have any benefits even the credits? Lol… Especially Nintendo… Use the logic. The Nintendo version is not a Port because those games were created for Nintendo hardware only first with Nintendo's funds, just like Dusckbloods.
Then they were ported elsewhere at a later date.
The ports obviosuly were not created by Nintendo, but they paid for the development of the game itself.
Funding game development is a bad model for obtaining permanent exclusives.Funding doesn't mean permanent exclusive by default.
It's not that I believe in it, it's what demonstrably happened, manDo you really believe that Nintendo is going to paid for something and let the devs port the game to others platforms
In those games they are the publishers… Is not that hard to understandIt's not that I believe in it, it's what demonstrably happened, man![]()
