Nintendo simply makes a great console and now they have the best fromsoft games as an exclusive. I couldn't make this shit up. Sony closed Japan studios big mistake no Bloodborne 2 no port of this.

I completely disagree with that. What people remember from Dark Souls is level design, boss fights and atmosphere….not PVP.
 
I keep waiting to see some news where they're like "yeah, there's a robust single player mode; it's not just multiplayer focused!", but I know at this point that it's unlikely. Which is massively, massively disappointing. I love the aesthetic and want a Fromsoft game that I actually have interest in again. Oh well.

I like single player games and am happy to spend money to buy games day 1 if they are up my alley. Maybe From doesn't want my money anymore but surely someone will be willing to take it.

Curious to see how it turns out. They must have learned a few things from Nightreign as well I imagine.
 
As with Elden Ring Nightreign, hard pass both that DLC and this game. The extent I want to see MP in their games is what they had before Nightreign. So disappointed they are so multiplayer focused now.
 
Well....with it being a multiplayer game, it sorta has to be.

An easy skip for me and I own a Switch 2.

Highly doubt it, I think this game is like Beyonetta 2 situation and if it is then no Nintendo won't do that, as of now all we know is that it is coming exclusivly to Switch 2 only
 
I wouldn't be surprised if it ended up being their most interesting game mechanically yeah. Say what you want about Nintendo but they always focus on gameplay mechanics and the experimental nature of this title allows From to do more than just copypaste the simplistic iframe centered combat they've been using for more than a decade in order not to alienate their retarded fanbase.

I have simply zero interest to play games with other people, unless very rarely we're all on the same couch. And then still, we'd usually end up playing retro (S)NES single player games and pass the controller around. I don't have to wit for a gameplay reveal, because I'm already not interested from the get go, given it's designed as a MP game as you stated.
 
Looks cool, I'm happy for them, but I have little interest in a multiplayer From game, and even less interest in the Switch 2. I'm actually most interested in if it will find an audience on that platform.

Good thing I own a Switch 2, but my coop besties don't and I don't see them buying it for this title. Weird move - Switch 2 isn't really a "go to" console for online. At least, in my circles, most of us play on PS5 or PC.

Nintendo are dominating the japanese console market while Sony are floundering, this is why FromSoft are collaborating with Nintendo and other third party devs that were traditionally Playstation bound are now putting their big games on Switch 2 like Capcom or SE. How is it retarded?
 
Good, it will be way better than the usual Souls copy paste they have been doing at least. They need to shake things up.

Nintendo is paying for the exclusivity, possibly a quite significant amount.

It's a dumb decision because PS5 sells elsewhere, the same as PC and From Software games sell better outside Japan.
 
Although I obviously would have prefered this to be single player, I think FromSoft deserves the benefit of doubt here. They've made some of my all time favourite games, and i'm in day one, of course.

Would also much prefered to see it released on PC, as I don't have the same faith in FromSoft when it comes to performance quality..
On PC I could have added the neccesary mods and have a silk smooth experience in 4K with high fps.

I still shiver when thinking about the god awful performance I experienced with Night Reign on the PS5, and I guess this might be more of the same, sadly.

Anyway, day 1 for sure.
