I don't see how the Russian army can survive the winter.

Forced conscripts with no winter gear or proper weapons. Lack of qualified commanders after all the young officers are being sent to the front with accelerated training. Tons of lost equipment. Fronts falling apart all around them.

Just hold your lines for the winter is what they'll be told. Just seems impossible! We went from the Russians getting stuck during mud season and getting blown to hell to a cold winter with little reenforcements.

Right off the wargaming table you mean?

There is no way Russia recovers from this for decades. As other have said, we took the fact they are McDonald's as a sign of their pacification but it's obvious that was a miscalculation. But I do hope the Russian people who see what's happening here rise up - I know they are the minority but definitely needs a transformation from within.

I mean this is funny but true…between trucks and trailers and other gear, it wouldn’t surprise me if the two other small families and mine that go camping together have upwards of $250k of equipment when we go. We’ve got stoves, trailers with heaters, big, new and maintained trucks, tons of warm clothes and bedding, motorized toys…and that’s just for going out with the family for some weekend fun.

If you handed me some pillow cases to wrap around my feet for socks headed into the Russian winter, my first bullet would be for you.

Hopefully when Ukraine win they hold more referendums where the box for Russia can only be voted for from Russian territory, have some of the hero's there armed with some prime UK and US guns and don't let the fuckers back in Ukraine. You want be in Russia, stay there.

RuSSia is handing out 75 year old gear to the latest recruits and bringing out T-62's, BMP 1's (guess they didn't auction all of them off), and above all, no winter gear is handed out (the mother of all mistakes everyone throughout history in conflicts in the region have made).

You just can't take them seriously.

And again, they utterly refuse to use pallets in their logistic system, and lack trucks, despite bringing out museum pieces.

Chill with the inflammatory language. You must realise it puts peoples backs up! I think the discussion went well in here yesterday when people were civil.

Sometimes people need to get their opinions off their chest and then go about their business and not bother the thread for the rest of the week. 😃

It's freedom of thought and speech. We should be thankful we have a place like neogaf where we can partake in it.

I don't know if anyone has posted this already, but I read somewhere that Putin exempted students from recruitment to prevent them from leaving the country.
So yeah... the exodus situation is pretty dire.
