Looks like the Czechs are moving fast after annexing Kaliningrad and are already planning to deploy critical infrastructure.

Fresh images captured of advanced annexation forces:

Russian governement has zero respect for it's own people, and this is a dangerous thing.
This reminds of that song that goes like "I hope the russians love their children too". I guess they don't, so anything can happen.
I really don't understand what are they trying to achieve by sending unarmed civilians to the front, because this is exactly what is happening.

STUPID QUESTION ALERT!!

Doesn't Russian have B52 equivalents? If they want to stop the current Ukrainian advancement, why doesnt Russia just blitz their front lines? Or something to the effect of huge firepower, doesnt Russia have superior firepower to do this kind of thing?

I cant get my head around how Russia are failing at this so badly... (and thank god) given there one of the worlds biggest super powers.

Ukraine is using decentralized, highly mobile squad tactics. They're not marching in columns.

I also wonder about the effects of the dedys abuse. All Russian men go through one year of conscription and they get a massive amount of abuse during that period: physical, mental, sexual…

Russia favours artillery in warfare. There was a lot of talk about Russia's capability in terms of smart bombs and thermobaric missile launchers but instead of saving them to fight the Ukrainian armed forces they squandered them early on in "hybrid warfare" operations where they attack hospitals, theatres, schools, etc, in order to communicate how they are the Kaizer Soze of armed forces. The supply is limited and manufacturing is even harder with sanctions and mobilization. I guess they were fighting the last war, where they helped brutalize Syria to suppress a popular uprising.

My opinion:

The Russian army is trying to use here the old Soviet doctrine where they overwhelm their enemies with superior numbers. The problem is, Russia by far is not Soviet Union. They had the advantage for this in the beginning of the war but they lost that because of the attrition war. This why they are trying to fix this trough mobilisation.

For now the Russian army is lacking the experience to do tactical warfare on the same level as the Ukrainian Army.

Russia doesn't' have air superiority. So if they tried that, a lot of their bombers would get destroyed.

I think the delay is mainly due to the EU trying to prevent black-outs.

In the UK we're now told of possible blackouts this winter: https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-63155827
Absolutely, hindsight is a wonderful thing, we should have been weaning ourselves of Russian energy a long time ago, but.....money.

Think I am going to become a prepper and go off grid.

And some people wanted me to buy one of those Teslas from that dick Musk. Won't be able to power those things when we are all in the badlands

New for 2022 specs. Special 8-valve engine model instead of 16-valve. Special no airbags model. Also this years special operation model will not include power steering. The great soviet ruZZia is back gents. (Yup. This is real)

Very few gains in the last few days on both the Kherson and Kharkiv/Luhansk fronts. Seems that Russians have finally stabilized the front and established defensive lines.

Hopefully Ukraine can still make some progress before the weather worsens and muddy terrain slows down their offensives.

Or maybe the Ukrainian lines are a bit stretched because of the giant lightspeed gains and they're holding/reinforcing their current positions. But who knows.

Probably some of both. You don’t want to outrun your supply lines and you need breaks, so it would be expected that advances periodically pause while everything catches up and people rest. Also, the farther they go, the more dug in the Russians will likely be.

Anyway, go get ‘em bois!

Why so desperate to paint things in a good light for the Russians?

Only reason there hasn't been massive gains is because the Ukraine army haven't tried for massive gains.

When they ramp up again they'll be through those 'stabilised lines' like a hot knife through butter.
