That's frankly despicable. Wagnerites were self-propelled shitpiles, but you don't do that sort of thing. Especially to your own people.
Even the German dead from WW2 were treated more respectfully.

The USA is retiring the A-10.
So maybe Ukraine can get some of these...
I can imagine Russians shitting their pants, whenever that GAU8 fires above them.

Sadly, A-10's would be deathtraps in Ukraine considering the vast amount of air defenses deployed by both sides.
Yep, A-10s were only kept around because of the GWOT combined with congressional interference, they were supposed to be retired awhile ago.

They are great aircraft in uncontested airspace. The US Air Force has publicly said as such on numerous occasions.

Maybe they can be used together with F16s

Putin: "Watch me do this"
Russians: "By Your Command"

Servile to the bone, they will keep marching into the trenches to die for Mother Russia. It's the only thing left in that society to look forward to.

Ukrainian forces appear to widen breach of Russian defenses on southern front lines

Ukraine Situation Report: Major Push Toward Tokmak Gaining Steam

Zaporozhye direction:
The Ukrainian military wedged itself into the defensive line of the Podars to the west of Verbovoy and to the south-east of Novoprokopivka. Near Verbovoy, some boundaries are completely broken and behind them are already gray areas.

Dan Rice is correct. Get the M26 cluster munition for HIMARS into the counter-fire fight to destroy Russian artillery and sever the "land bridge" as HIMARS gets in range. And the US has huge amounts of these available.

And, looks like Ukraine has punched more holes in the RuSSkie defences.

Zaporizhzhia Front - Orikhiv Axis
In the biggest blow to the enemy since the beginning of the southern offensive, the Armed Forces of Ukraine have infiltrated the enemy's second line of defense and are conducting offensive operations in the vicinity of Verbove.

I read the ruskies are sending elite units to robotyne now from other sections of the front cause they can't rotate the regular troops out or rest them.

This is getting real spicy for the rooskis

I hope they can keep this momentum up and cause a big impact before Russia can plug all the holes.

If they are diverting those elite units in desperation they may be sacrificed if the AFU is prepared to deal with them. Bad news for their other fronts to have the experienced guys taken

In another turn of events no one predicted, russia has started shipping horses to ukraine.

It's a shame bullets are plenty, otherwise we'd get to see some bona fide cavalry charges.

The Ukrainian Armed Forces conducted a HIMARS Strikes recently on the Port of Zaliznyi in the Kherson Region resulting in the Destruction of a “Predel-E” Coastal Over-the-Horizon Radar System which only began Active Service in roughly 2020 and costs upwards of $200 Million, as well as a “Leer-2” Electronic-Warfare System.

The “Predel-E” doesn’t look like much but is considered one of the most Modern and Technologically-Significant OTH Radar in the Russian Military with less than 25 having been produced so far.

"Russian troops in Kherson region lack artillery and ammunition, Russian military bloggers say"

Just out from CNN. https://www.cnn.com/europe/live-news/russia-ukraine-war-news-08-28-23/index.html

"...Russia’s 205th brigade is facing “an alarming signal of crisis in the army and the country.” "

“The 205th brigade of the Russian Armed Forces that is fighting in the Kherson region was ordered to occupy islands on the Dnipro River; the servicemen responded by saying that they lacked ammunition, food, artillery support and reconnaissance”

Interesting report today for Gripen, it only takes 6 months to train Ukrainian pilots on the platform, but in order for it to be battle effective, they said that 1/5 of the fleet would have to be sent. Thats alot, will be interesting to follow the news regarding this!

It's 'a lot' in the sense of how much of Sweden's fleet it is, but it's not that many airframes; about 20. So that's about a squadron's worth (or two depending on how they are counted), which is roughly where it starts to make sense.
