:lol Thanks, your post led me to watch loads of vids on youtube to judge by myself. Strangely enough, I thought the TG was not the worse. Shadow warrior and high elves are atrocious. Inquisitor look like he is stepping on eggs. Dryads didn't look that bad and sepharim's combat animations were catastrophic.
Now is that a deal breaker? I don't think so. But I find it sad that they didn't put more work into that thing.
I will say that while not a overly pretty game and with some framerate and tearing issues, when zoomed in it's quite detailed. Some of the effects/physics are impressive for the size of the game as well. Especially with a Inq or High elf casting, as the foliage is dynamic, so grass and trees start swinging wildly due to the force of the spells. Repeated casts can really get things moving.
Also, there's no loading while running around. Cities do load and it can be annoying (sometimes it loads for unknown reasons every 3 friggin' steps)... as do caves etc. but it's pretty quick. Still no loading while just running around is great.
To be blunt, most of the quests are "meh", escort/fetch fare and the story is uninteresting overall, but if you want to level, get loot, level, get more loot and really build your own characters it is the best option on the console side IMO.. though admittedly choices are slim. On the console front I was a huge PSO fan. Hated Universe, Circle of doom was cool for a handful of hours and Too Human never grabbed me. I've played this (nearly) every day since it came out. Getting to understand WTF you are doing with your characters, their combat arts etc. is fun for me. *cough* Then re-rolling to fix your horrible crippling mistakes once you do start to understand really makes the time fly *cough*

I can't really give you any tips as I killed him in about 10 seconds. Jolting Touch & Deathly Spears will kill bosses in the game pretty damn quick (at least with my build). I'm using that Lost Utility build on the Ascaron forums.
Kinda funny (unless it's your character I guess). People are reporting a bug where if you pick payback then healing, Jolting Touch will actually heal the enemies instead of you.
