I dont get the hate for the new transformation sequence. Its actually quite good tbh.
It's too different for people, I guess. I enjoy different things and to me it didn't look bad (and I nitpick A LOT on bad CG, too).
I mean, I would understand if it was a really drastic change in artstyle or something. But its a really faithful and well animated CG. Its no tacky or anything. I just don't see whats so objectively bad about it.

And yet they couldn't figure out a way to get it to air on Japanese TV
I'm going to laugh so hard when it comes to Toonami next year and still hasn't aired on Japanese TV
Well, CG animation is the future.I find it odd as well; however, in Japan one must buy a programming block in order to be featured on television, comparatively to the US.
Toei Animation's management decisions the past few years have been questionable, especially the approval of Saint Seya and Captain Harlock CGI for 30 million dollars respectively, both flops, and yet their anime productions such as One Piece, Pretty Cure! and Sailor Moon are produced at 100k an episode.
You won't be laughing as much as Toei on the way to the bank. :|And yet they couldn't figure out a way to get it to air on Japanese TV

Which is hilarious because CG Cost them that France gig that looks a whole load of butt in CG.Well, CG animation is the future.|
I wouldn't be surprised if Toei wasn't involved in some sort of race-to-the-bottom scam of some description.I'm definitely not undermining the importance of CG animation; however, Toei Animation's denial of further investments towards the Sailor Moon brand, comparatively to approving budgets for high risk projects such as Captain Harlock and Saint Seiya, is rather puzzling as the bulk of their operating income is achieved through licensing endeavors and Sailor Moon would greatly benefit of a greater exposure on Television Stations in Japan.

Well that apparently didn't stop them from not taking up the stupid CGI version of that thief girl cartoon so that can't be it. Besides, I can think, off the top of my head, like a million ways they could market SMC with Precure and it's not like it'd be any weirder than those bits where they Cross Kamen Rider or Super Sentai when precure for Super Hero Timelol
Toei Animation already have a girls segment anime called Pretty Cure! with financial backing and licensing agreements with Bandai, maybe they didn't want two competing products in the marketplace? I'm not sure.

Still fine to talk about according to thread policy, at least as basic previews go.Based upon the number of "I never saw the original or read the manga" posts probably quiet a few
PILLAR MEN OR BUST!Just in case people wanted to be deluded that this wasn't following the manga structure

Also, can someone link me to the Mamoru 1992 Sunglasses GIF? Whenever I do it, it attaches the Naru to it.
This could be a great reaction .gif. Just need to make it stay on the last frame longer.
