That's going to be episode 10. Didn't duckroll post about it a while ago? Episode 10 is by the Umakoshi/MatsuRie team.

Next week is Team Digimon! I think. Anyway Yoshida is writing the next two episodes, so it would be at least not super-dumb.

Saint seiya omega 4

Since when did lighting beat earth, these guys must of never made past brock in pokemon
cuWce.jpg

If this what the show calls a good fight then I see a lot of problems in it's future.

This show has nothing going for it or anything to differentiate itself, so bad it makes me appreciate even the shounens am bashing all the time like naruto and bleach it makes those look like the second coming.

Turns out gaffs animu staff hype squad have egg on there face once again, this show is not even a looker next to toei other shows like toriko.

Many people were hyped because of the Saint Seiya name, the original Saint Seiya series remains as one of the most beloved anime series among Europeans and South Americans alike.
This series however is a non-canonical turd and should be avoided at all cost.

Animegaf was hyped because they're staff whores and care more about Umakoshi than Saint Seiya. Most of them that hyped it up don't even know anything about the franchise.

Umakoshi created some great looking character designs and a striking visual style, which was used to great effect in episodes 1 and 3. That Toei decided to cheap out on the show is unfortunate, but can't be blamed on him.

Umakoshi > Saint Seiya. The overall shitiness of the saint seiya franchise is what is holding back Omega from greatness.

The lack of impact, intensity, and most especially articulation on the attacks is KILLING me as a gigantic fan of the original series, the Hades arc, the movies----pretty much everything up to this point. Kouga's training was the equivalent of just dangling a noodle out there and jerking it around a bit---yet what I don't understand is that the first episode got it largely right with Shaina and whatnot, the hell happened?

At this point I need blatant fan service like a quality reanimation of Hyouga v Christ from the first movie, because everything about those 2 attacks at that time was absolutely perfect, if only because Southern Cross is a thing in the new series----but at this rate I don't think they will do it! : (

This is like, a nightmare scenario in terms of methods to madness if they ever did a full blown Shadow Skill remake outside of the music choices for this new Saint Seiya being ok, if totally not memorable or gripping

It's clear you don't what your talking about, how's saint seiya holding him back when they barely kept anything from the original except for pegasus fantasy track and a few names, this show isn't anything like the original saint seiya but that has nothing to do with why the show is bad.

The issues with this show is how half ass uninspired it is and it's clear whoever came up with it didn't put much thought into it, even if toei put redline animation behind it wouldn't make a difference considering how bad the script is.

What the fuck are you talking about and what does it have to do with Umakoshi

Episode 8

The story is finally going somewhere again. I skipped the last two episodes because tournament arcs are boring as shit. Unfortunately, this episode is plagued with bad art, bad direction, and generally boring action. There was something really awful about the backgrounds throughout the episode, which seems atypical for this series. Gone are the detailed painted backgrounds, and instead they keep showing this poorly textured low-poly model of the school's main tower over and over. It was like a pre-rendered background from the PS1 era. :/

Oh well, at least the story is going to get a bit more interesting now.... right? Lol.

It's funny you say that because the whole story of omega is a remake of the sanctuary arc of classic saint seiya.

Just look at the facts:

Kouga getting pegasus cloth and dont know how to use it first = seiya winning pegasus cloth and dont know how to use it first

Kouga meets Souma as a rival and become friends = Seiya meets shiryu as a rival and become friends

Eden only trusts in the "survival of the fittest" model and wants to kick Kouga's ass = Ikki only trusts in the "survival of the fittest" model and wants to kick Seiya's ass

Saga as the Patriarch of the Sanctuary is the main bad guy AND he is a Gold Saint too = Ionia as the Dean of Palaestra is the main bad guy AND he is a Gold Saint too

Kouga and friends pass trough Babel Tower to rescue Athena
= Seiya and friends pass throgh the 12 temples to save Athena.

The whole thing is a damn remake of the first series but with bad art and poor animation.

Really? I like how it's a free pass to dream matches and what not for fans. Anyway Pegasus got a genuine ass whooping.

Is it beneficial to have watched all the original Seiya series and OVA's before watching this?

It's definitely not required, but you'd know more about the history of certain characters. Though depending who you ask, it might be detrimental (because this isn't as good or faithful).

Episode 10
better be the promised Yuna backstory-reveal episode; these guys should have realized by now that Yuna shouldn't get Toei'd.

Saint Seiya Omega 9

It became Naruto for a moment (substitution jutsu). I liked it. Haruto for my third favorite Saint (Kouga, Souma, Haruto, Ryuuhou).
Ninja saint is actually pretty cool and I like it. He has cool attacks and so many of them and even his transformation sequence was fun. This series has been pretty grim so far everything bad keeps happening and it keeps taking it to the next level.

Can't wait for next weeks.

Oh and nice fanart

LOL at the fanart ... better the oficial version xD

9 !

Awesome story .... and sorry people, 10 will not be what you want, but can be awesome ! =D

So .. episode had the right amount of fight/story portion .... wich means lots of action and few story =P
Also, the Amaterasu saint looks a little overpowered xD

Also, no jutsu =P

So sad to see the sanctuary turned into ashes =(
Also, they totaly will make the other dude to be the phoenix saint and make him appear in the last moment ...

Ep 10 looked great. It's sad that we are not getting many episodes like this though. Heartcatch Precure was way more consistent with its visuals so there wasn't nearly such a big drop off when Umakoshi wasn't involved.

Episode 10

Was alright. Haruto really feels like he could be right out of Naruto, which is right up my alley. Really enjoyed him and all the other bronze saints getting in their moves. I like the drama and intensity of the series thus far even if it seems to get pretty grim at times. Souma and Kouga make such great friends.

Most epic moment
When Seiya arrived!!!

EP 10

Fun and had a "movie" feeling all the way through it (must be all the shinny things =P)

And to anyone who said that this isn't saint seiya, i will give you this minor spoiler :
The Dragon Shield was alread destroyed !
You can't be more Saint Seiya than that without tons of blood xD

It was a better ep, but much lost on me for that creepy low-budget "fish eyes" moment at one point after all was assembled and the camera panned back a bit----looks almost like a full size SD shot, ugh.

I generally approve of mythos mixing going on though, in terms of the construction of Mars and the Ninja saint----more ramping up of such things please.

Episode 10

Fantastic episode. I really love the feminine touch to a lot of the scene direction inside the tower. Great color tones and some really nice angles. The fights and backgrounds are a huge return to form too - both creatively and in terms of quality. It felt like a solid climax to the rather lackluster arc we've had in the last few weeks. The story is definitely moving forward now. We should have interesting developments in the next few episodes.

One has to wonder what was the point of
introducing Ryuho, Eden and Haruto so early when they're disappearing for the entire month...

OMG episode 10 was definitely awesome, and the last minutes where really well done. i really thought that
hyoga
would coming instead
of seiya.

i really want to know what its up with the gold saints. also shiryu is just deaf and blind but if he can feel cosmo then why is he not wearing the capricorn armor.
that the only thing i dont understand of the anime what timeline is this supposed to be. i know its an original timeline but it has to follow something.

So episode 11 was really fun ! Not a bad one ... specialy the part were Yuna figh* .... OMFG DID YOU SEE THE PREVIEW FOR 12 ?????? =O

Saint Seiya Omega 11

I ended up watching this episode twice. Overall both times I still felt disappointed in Yuna, pretty useless Saint at the end of the day
what a terrible waste of the power of friendship and the bonds of companionship for her to just give the final blow. I can't believe how terrible she is in comparison to Kouga who thankfully arrived. Even Souma managed to stand tall and actually do something even if already exhausted from a previous fight, while Yuna was fully recovered and should have been at full power after sleeping peacefully the night before after breaking bread. Her attack wasn't even that good!

Probably the least good episode thus far.

Ok I marathoned from episode 5 to 12 because I was really behind and thankfully the show has gotten a lot better.

This last episode
OMG Shun! And he was badass... I mean he materialized the chain out of nowhere :P I'm glad they sort of explained the fucking jewel stuff too. And the flashbacks! His new voice actor bugged tho because he didn't sound anything like old Shun.
Also I'm still baffled that nobody knows who the real Atena is. And where did those Gold Saints came from? Where did Capricorn go? IDK. One moment he was with Aria, then he was gone and Leo just came out of nowhere, god.

Anyway, this last episode was fun!

That definitely more than made up for episode 11. Andromeda Shun is just so cool.
That chain I want so much more.
. I hope the other legendary saints show up, their skills, if like Seiya and Shun, then they are as hot as Ryuho, Haruto, Kouga, and Souma's. And was this episode great!
Kouga and Ryuho teamwork for the win, I love when Kouga goes off to be, as Souma says, Cool on his own, it always leads to amazing things like that stunning defeat of the silver saint.

OMG!
I need to watch this show!

Ep 13

Pretty good episode, I think so far the anime has just had one not as good episode while the rest have been from great to stellar. Shun last episode and more random glimpses of Seiya still leave me wanting to see them more as we go on. Kouga was awesome as usual, and Souma is so funny.
Haruto is finally back! and even Eden screentime, but the son of Mars?! Mindblown! Hes in the OP so Im guessing at some point he defects. It will be interesting how he interacts with the main crew in terms of personality, whenever that happens

13

Interesting episode !

Damn you opening !

More blood ... if the blood excalation continue maybe in 10 chapters we get an ear chopped of ! xD

Next episode might be awesome ... anyone getting Hyoga feelings from that summary ?

14

Very awesome episode ... not that big on the fight part, but very interesting developments in the story !

Awesome to hear Yuna's story !

14

I thought it was awful at least for Yuna, trying to steal a page from Kouga's book almost made her look cool but in the end, well :(
she is literally the weakest saint there is being unable to defeat anyone on her own and still losing and running away when teamwork is involved. Poor Palavin left to face the foes alone while Yuna just runs off like there are flowers to smell in a garden with Aria. Regardless, next episode looks like it will be awesome with Souma and even Haruto getting involved, cant wait

Awful for Yuna? What? Even with lots of help, everyone in the group, including Kouga, can just barely defeat one silver saint. You're pressed because she can't defeat a whole pack of them?

lol

Plus, didn't she beat her teacher? She had Pavlin on her knees and everything.

Dude, are you seriously trying to make sense of DTL's comments?

Its a turd but the original season is beloved for no real reason at all when the anime itself wasn't even that good starting off. Also I don't know its sometimes questionable what people in south america likes when it comes to anime.

Get the fuck out of here son, it's clearly that you don't know what the fuck you are talking about, next time come up with a better troll.

Well its clear that you don't know what your talking about either it seems.
