Your Mugging explanation is wrong. What you're describing is just the regular store holdups.

Barnstorming- Grab a plane and fly through certain "stunt areas" to initiate it. Flying through hangers and out the other side, flying through windows in buildings under signs, bridges overpasses etc. Some areas can be done with choppers or the UFO.

Ho-ing- Gas station bathrooms and private booths in strip clubs.

Tow Truck- Yeah, grab a towtruck and the prompt will come up automatically.

Combat Tricks- Combos, finishers, headshots, nut shots, generally just killing gang members/people in fancy ways.

Driving Stunts- Self explanatory. Wheelies, powerslides, catching air, going up on two wheels with a car/truck etc.

Mugging- Walk up to someone on the street or elsewhere (easier if they're standing still or sitting) and use fine aim to aim at them. They'll notice you after a second, get scared and drop their cash and run.

Streaking- Yeah, that's right.

Flashing- You need a special "Flasher's Coat" which you can get in the costume shop in the Rounds Square Mall. Then just go to your wardrobe (you can do this in any store or hideout) and remove everything you're wearing and just put on the coat. It'll start automatically.
Thanks, and where is the Rounnds Square mall?

And oh shit, i just got infinite respect! :D I've done like only 7 missions or something...

In the middle of the High End Retail district. There's a shopping center on top that's easy enough to spot (escalators, bunch a stores etc) and the mall is underground. You can either reach it from the elevator at street level (inside a building) or drive down through the parking garage at the back.

Looking at the map, it's the thing that sorta looks like a football field. :lol

The costume shop is on the west side and there's a bunch of stores down there that aren't listed on the map.

Cheats only keep a save from counting towards achievements, right? It doesn't completely screw over your gamertag if you have one save with cheats on and the others don't (which you can use towards achievements, correct?

Barnstorming is awesome. One of my favorite things to do in San Andreas was to try and fly planes through small spaces and interesting terrain areas. It's sweet that this game actually makes an event out of it.

Picked this up Thursday night.... fucking love it! at least 20 hours in already..:lol :lol
Got hooked from the start. After the first mission to get a crib and all that... i've been doing the diversions (Insurance Fraud FTW) and just buying clothes and other random shit.

The best sandbox game since Crackdown.

Where is the casino to play black jack/poker? No idea where it is.
You probably already found this out, but if not..

There's a huge Casino in the Hotels District right across from the Marina. There are also a lot of underground Casinos located in various basements, back rooms of laundromats and one in the Rec Center in the Suburbs Expansion.

Yeah, it should be just the save as it's the same way it worked in the first one.

Not only is it the only thing that makes sense (why bother scewing up the GT?), but there was already talk here when the game came out about having another save just for cheats. It also explains why you get the choice of loading or creating a new character file whenever you go to play co-op.

Aside from the hidden mall in the High End District, is there another? I like how they have more of clothing stores. I wish there would be more casual clothes, something perhaps more modern or something. Too many damn Brown Baggers and liquor stores. >:|

More or less.

It just means that you've gained enough respect that you can finish the story without having to gain any more.

Another what? Hidden mall? Not that I've seen, but there are unmarked stores and hidden locations all over the place.

well I just beat it, awesome game volition!

basically saints row 2, picked up the ball rockstar dropped and scored a touchdown with it.

sure it may not look as pretty, or be trying to be taken as real/serious as rockstars outting was, but the gameplay, FUN FACTOR, and mission style were so so much better than gta4. After san andreas I expected the gameplay and crazy awesome stuff of saints row 2, and the graphics and attention to detail of gta4, ALL IN GTA4.

I can see myself trying to 100% SR2, while gta 4 I wont turn on again (havent played it since I beat it in april) untill DLC comes out, thatll hopefully be worth a damn.

now for some spoilers

Ronin:
HOLY SHIT at the cutscene with Gat killing that Shogo? kid? goddamn it was pretty awesome, I also liked the ending, seriously I got a commando/ Duke Nukem vibe half the time from the directions the cutscenes took

Brotherhood
What happened to Carlos is fucked up, I felt more disturbed by that then what happens in *insert some gta near end spoiler here*, but the payback was so awesome in the car trunk, that had a cartman feeding the kid his parents / se7en vibe (ok not that good but still pretty cool

Samedi
This was the first mission I did, I really wasnt that impressed by it except for the mission where your fucked up and falling over yourself at the end, and the assualt on the saints hideout was a nice ZOMGWTF moment

Post ending not 100% spoiler
Im still not seeing the "Extra" mission availible, do I have to 100% the game, im thinking Julius has to be in it, or Troy because I coulda sword he woulda shown up somewhere during the ultor missions

I hope the dlc for this game is more than just clothes tho, gimme more fighting styles, or vehicles, or even "activities" (Hot Coffee Shaundi FTW lol :lol )

Restart until you get an area that has a freeway. Ignore the places where you get more Adrenaline, you'll get pushed out of there in a few seconds anyway. As soon as you reach the freeway start getting hit by trucks. Also if you get hit by one vehicle, then another without touching the ground, your points double (maybe triple sometimes) I've gotten around $200,000 in one combo by just bouncing around between trucks in adrenaline mode. It's very easy since you can control your body in the air.
Holy shit, that makes it so much easier... Thanks.

The extra mission doesn't show up on your map. You have to go to the third floor of the police station and search the records to get it.

Why isn't this game getting more attention? I haven't heard any podcasts be talking about it. Not many video reviews etc. I'm quite surprised no one at 1up has even mentioned it.

It's just a busy couple of months. Most games are getting a bit less attention than normal simply because all the publishers packed their releases into Oct/Nov. I think most of the good games from this month and next will have pretty good legs as people catch up on things they could not grab all at once.

Finally completed it. Awesome, awesome game.

One thing that was disappointing;

That Julius was only in one mission, a side mission at that. He should've been a main character. Plus I would'n't have even found out about the Julius mission had I not checked to see what the secret achievements was.

Ok, behind Gat, Legal Lee is the funniest guy ever :lol

So I'm having this weird problem. I've just beaten
the mission in which I have to kill all the guys on the yacht
, but now the last mission isn't appearing. Is there some prerequisite thing I have to do, or do I have to go somewhere or something?

I guess what I'm getting at is: am I totally fucked? Because if so, this game is going right the fuck on Awful Mart and the buy/sell/trade thread. I've put up with all the game's glitchy shit up until now, but not this.

It varies, as some people got it as early as in the 60s. Probably depends on things like you style ranking bonus at the time etc.

THIS GAME IS AWESOME! I didn't care at all when it was announced for PS3 because of the whole 'gangsta' theme and thought it was just a gta wannabe, but I"m glad I tried it out. Now I'm buying this for sure!! Having more fun with this than GTA4

Couple things:

-awesome character customization - playing as a female is better than staring at Niko's ass, the voice acting's good too

-holy shit, tonnes of buildings to go into, tonnes of sidemissions. Insurance fraud is :lol

-mission checkpoints! you'll never lose your car once you put it in your garage!

-graphics are better than Mercs2(yuck)

Seriously, the only thing I really miss from GTA are the prettier cars and lighting. And i don't mind that at all..:D :D Looking forward to SR3!

Just cracked open the seal and started the game. Walking off the dock I immediately start a fight between the pimps and guards. Racked up a bit of cash doing that.

I changed vehicle controls. However, I really prefer the GTA vehicle camera. I was always swinging it to see better around corners. Any tips on handling the SR2 camera?

Also what's the proper way to lose heat? I know about the 'spray shops,' but is losing heat just something that takes a while as that bar slowly goes down. Are there other options?

Really enjoying the game so far (I haven't played much I spent a lot of time creating my character just right.) Starting a huge brawl between pimps and guards then stealing a bike that was blasting 'Cielito Lindo' was a very promising start to the game:lol

Fake Edit: Barnstorming is awesome, even if the planes control like arse!

Go to the Stillwater police, enter the detective area, listen to the taps, grab the files on the desk. You'll get a new person to call on your phone.

Well you didn't need to use the same vehicle in SR1, you could switch mid-event when the original vehicle was too beat up or exploded.
I don't think SR1 had vehicle delivery though.

I didn't know SR2 had such a thing. what's the phone number?
Actually I'm surprised someone hasn't posted the numbers yet.

I know some folks were asking about this earlier and I have not seen it answered already...

Yes, you can legitimately get the Hunter Assault Helicopter before you normally do (beating the storyline) by doing the following:

Note, I recommend doing this all around your main hideout as it'll make it go much faster. Also, I highly recommend you do this in co-op as it will make this MUCH easier (you'll see why in the step 3).

1. Complete the Base Jump diversion and unlock the reward by getting three gold stars. To do this, you'll need to land IN the car while base jumping from a helicopter (or plane... but if you're doing this from your home base...you only have the copters). The reward for this is no fall damage no matter the distance. Note, if you fail this at first and you run out of helicopters in your garage, it's because they are nearby and havn't despawned or blown up. Drive away and come back or find them and blow them up. You'll then have them in your garage again.

2. Go to your rooftop as if you were going to get a helicopter. Instead, go the edge of the roof on the south side where the road is and start causing mayhem. Kill everyone...especially police. When a helicopter shows up, destroy it also and you'll be at five stars eventually. When you get here, the Hunter assault helicopters start showing up.

Optional Step: If you don't already have an FBI vehicle and the Bear APC... now is a good time to get them while you're very close to your garage.

3. When a Hunter approaches you, try to fire some bullets at it (but don't kill it). Eventually, hopefully, it will finally find a place to sit still and fire at you. Now.. if you're playing solo, you'll need to quickly get in one of your helicopters and fly up above the Hunter. It will likely start to move again as you do this. Like I said, this is probably very hard solo. However, if you're playing in a co-op game, whomever the Hunter is focused on should sit still while the other player gets in a helicopter and flies above the hunter (not close, get pretty high above it). Also, don't get directly above it either as when you jump out, you don't want your helicopter crashing into the hunter.

4. When you're a good distance above and a little bit aside of the Hunter, press Y (or whatever it is on PS3) to jump out and immediately hit the button again to deploy your parachute. Now, just glide down onto the top or the cockpit of the Hunter. The blades will not kill you but might try and knock you off so act quickly here. When you land, immediately hit the button to jump in (again, Y on xbox) to take over the craft. This might take you a few attempts to get the timing right but at least if you miss, you won't die even if you fall off the Hunter because you got the no fall damage reward. Just run back to your garage and get another helicopter. You folks attempting this solo might not be able to do the parachute method if the Hunter is moving again or deploy it very late. Sorry, can't help ya too much there.

Enjoy your new assault helicopter :D All of this is easily doable as soon as you get the main hideout and your first helicopter...which is fairly early in the game.

Worked perfectly first time. Great trick, thanks much. I lined up my chopper perpendicular to the attack chopper and landed just fine in solo.

If you find one then that's great, but I haven't seen one in 70hrs of gameplay.
