Or just jump super high, rag doll at the very top to start the money meter going, and aim for a car on the way down.

This, if you miss a car don't worry about it, keeping the initial spin up is essential. Hitting buildings will also give you points. After awhile you will have such a high multiplier it will be ridiculous.

I am running around as the President of the Unites States of America in speeds faster than sound, slapping people in the face with a giant dragon tail dildo while the Monty Python theme is playing in the background and my character is voice acted by Nolan North AS Nolan North.

This game is made of dreams and unicorn farts.

Just started and it's great, but that fucking weapon selection menu is the most horrid thing ever. Why get a fast and fluid game and PAUSE IT EVERY FRIGGIN TIME I WANT TO CHANGE WEAPONS.

Please tell me there's a way to switch back to ingame weapon switcing and I just haven't found it yet?

What in the hell is the answer to this?

I'd get usually 30-40 fps in SR3 even though I have an AMD FX-8320 and Radeon HD 7950, which should be able to EASILY max it out @ 60fps. There must have been some problem most likely with CPU usage.

Does SR4 have these problems fixed? I've heard it takes advantage of quad-core now, is this correct?

There are a handful of moments that come close to the opening, but definitely nothing that tops it.

What is so awesome about the opening? Is it just the novelty that they played the Armageddon song?

I thought everything was boring compared to the SR3 opening. My favorite parts of this game are when you've got upgraded super powers, just wrecking shit all over the city.

haven't messed with fraps, but it does generally run smooth... or i can't tell with the filters and the inherent jankyness of the animations.

really dig the dlc murica gun... wish it had more ammo though.

I think it was just an issue with Radeon cards mostly - I believe people with AMD CPUs with Nvidia cards were fine with SR3. Which was amusing given the AMD logo in one of the splash screens.

I will say, given the tone of the game, I was a little surprised that the hacking minigame is an actual thing. It's just so normal! I expected it to start up, and the boss to say hell no and blow something up. Or literally hack through something in the building. Not a recurring minigame.

Anyone else playing on PS3 and experiencing a crazy amount of soft locks and hard locks while pausing? Finished the game and had like five soft locks and one hard while going through, just tried to get all the collectibles and had to turn off the PS3 because it locked up again. Not gonna bother trying again 'till they release a patch.

Really enjoyed the game and was able to brush away the frustration while going though the singleplayer, but it's still unacceptable.

Haven't had any freezes or anything so far. I did have the framerate drop to the single digits at one point while flying a UFO, though.

yeah. It's hard to decipher what your hitting with it, but that's because it's hitting EVERYTHING. With the Power of America.

i'm still not entirely sure what the difference the 2 modes are lol.

i think one is close range flamethrower and 1 is minigun?

really hard to tell with the shit flying everywhere

For those having PS3 issues, what kind of PS3 do you have? I've had no freezes or even bugs so far on a 150gig slim.

The side missions are lame and I only did the ones with rewards I really wanted (unlimited sprint, early dubstep gun access*, energy sword). Love the main missions and the super homie stuff, though.

*explosive wubwubwub upgrade is insane and I love it.

Basically doing the same. The disparity in the fun and variety of the main campaign/loyalty missions and side quests is almost jarring. Makes the inability to replay missions even more upsetting for us console peasants who can't hope for mods.

It should be noted that if you do activities in the world, they will count as being completed for any side mission that would have asked you to do a particular one. I had already done a bunch of hacking missions as I passed by them, so when I was doing Kinzie's side missions a bunch of stuff from her list ended up being marked as done from the start. I thought it was a nice touch.

Well, that's interesting. Does this count for everything? What I hate is doing 3 activities in a row and only one is something I feel like doing at the time.

Won't lie though, I love mayhem any time.

How does Coop work? My Friend and I have been playing for awhile and when he collects something I get it also. So if I play solo will my collection be gone? Or all my solo stuff carry over?

lol I had all of her gateway quests done except for the last one right away.

I'd just like to point out how overpowered the pound+gravity + bounce gun combo is. I clear the groups of aliens protecting points in ~2 seconds now.

Just wish it would blow up portals, but I've gotten to the point where I just kill, clean and leave before portals can even spawn dudes.

How far in does the final power to extract shards come? It sucks seeing all these things on walls I can't collect yet :(

Just started playing, god tier intro

I liked the intro of SR3 much better, but this one is good as well.
Otherwise the game is insane as expected but a little janky in the gameplay department, but that was to expect.

So much fun in coop.

Damn, SR4 crashed just as I was finished with the Shaundi loyalty mission. Gotta do it again.

Also I have this (half awesome) bug where whenever I load my save it plays one of Keith David's audio log.

I do the same with just the ice power and bounce gun, or ice and ground pound.

I think something's messed up with the radio. And I think 3 had this too because I've heard Thin Lizzy, Biz Markie, and Cypress Hill FAR more than any other artist on the Mix. Like, to the point that I forgot Everything I Want was even on that station.

The one about him
doing a better job if he had the chance
? Because I have that one too.

Ok, I doubt a lot of people felt this way, but the funniest thing in this game is that way
Johnny
casually says 'yo dawg, this shit's on fire' when he's talking about the helicopter.

Put around 4 or so hours into the game so far.
AND LOVING IT, so GOOD!

The powers and just how it plays is a like a breath of fresh air.
Game is very good looking too on ultra, love the design and the no day/night cycle isn't too bad.

The map being the same is a bit annoying but having that new way of traversing makes it actually feel quite... new and some of the new additions make it look new too, so not that bad.

Music on the radio is awesome, could do with a little more tracks but not too bad. Been mainly doing side activities and just collecting the data things to upgrade the powers.

Also, that
SR2 Shaundi playboy
porn mag LOL. A lot of fun.

( coming from someone who gives SR3 a 6/10 too, massive improvement. )

Hope to finish this this weekend. Great game, although the actual raw gameplay on the missions is getting a little tired. But hilarious, inspired writing and the open world is great fun.

Yeah, it's great synergy. Just doing the side quests has cleared a lot stuff. I've got the simulation at like 94% hacked now.

This is good news if I can do things at my own pace. I'm usually just not in the mood for some of these even though many activities are better than 3. I actually really enjoy several of the activities (Fraud and Mayhem are great), but after the 9th Virus Injection or Blazin, I'm ready to stop.

Love this game but I loath hacking stores. Really should have had some optional device to auto hack the or something like other game who do this.

It's probably going to feel weird and disappointing when I play GTA V next month and have zero super powers. I'll actually have to use vehicles again...
