Doc Ock's chip damage is insane! I already got taken by surprise by it once, but not again... too bad I'm only getting $5 our of the match.
EDIT: Wastrel, please don't remind me of that... Takobue did horribly whenever I saw him, but his crappy AI and moves were strangely effective against Sophitia.
I know, it was really weird. I have a conspiracy theory that AI gets worse the more people bet on them. Or that there's 50 copies of each character with the same look but different AI.
Or maybe it's just that MUGEN is the most unpredictable, unstable shit ever.
I'd say all of the above. I find the main allure of this is how it's nearly impossible to predict how two characters will interact unless you know them really well, and even then there's still a chance one of them will simply avoid (ab)using their good moves and lose anyway.

Yeah, I noticed this too, specially with some Touhous. They used to have an extremely aggressive AI that made good use of their crazy range destroying pretty much anything they faced, and suddenly, several rush and pressure like idiots ignoring all their ranged arsenal.
At the same time, the unpredictable nature makes the game even better. (I hope they'll add a fake Rare Akuma)
And arthas was defeated, bye bye 10k.

Okay I just checked all of this drama and it's amazing.
This is like the second time that a broken ass character got into the brackets.
Orochi Akuma beat Kanna in a huge upset and sent a lot of high-tier betters to the mines.

Head's up, folks. Supposedly Cherrywarrior said that he has been tweaking characters lately. Exercise caution on big bets and consider underdog bets more.
